ScreensConcept
Desktop and mobile: Admins find records and make quick edits from a phone but spend longer sessions reviewing change history and running custom actions at a desk. Sample screens on a computer and a phone, in the proposed brand. Their numbers are sample data.

About this appAI proposal
Deskhand is a hosted admin console for Laravel apps that you install on a phone or laptop. Add a small Composer package, list the models and fields you want to expose, and Deskhand shows searchable tables and edit forms for them. There is no admin code to write or host in your own app.
It is built for Laravel developers and small teams who need to look up a user, fix a record or approve an item without opening a database client. Panels such as Nova, Filament and Backpack live inside your app. Deskhand sits beside it and stays small on purpose.
Access is set per model and per field, and every change is logged. Your data stays in your database: Deskhand reads a signed schema and calls a narrow API in your app.

- Why this name
- A deskhand is the helper who keeps the office running. The name suggests a small, reliable assistant for admin chores, not a heavy framework.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
One-file model setup
Declare models, visible fields, filters and actions in a single PHP config file. Deskhand builds the lists and forms from it.

Table and form views
Sortable, searchable tables and edit forms, with validation rules taken from your Laravel models.

Installable on a phone
Works as a PWA, so a founder or support person can fix a record from a phone without a laptop.

Field-level permissions
Choose who can see, edit or only view each field. Hide columns such as tokens or notes entirely.

PricingAI proposal
The material gives no competitor prices, so these tiers are a starting point to test. The open-source package for your app could stay free; the hosted console is what is charged for.

From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Users invite others. An admin invites teammates, such as support, ops or a client, to the console. Each invite shows Deskhand's sign-in and install prompt, and they use the app daily.
- Do they become customers?
- Invited teammates are often non-developers who cannot buy it. Test whether a developer who sets it up pulls in a paying seat, and whether agencies add each client app.
- First customers
- Freelance Laravel developers and small agencies maintaining 3 to 10 client SaaS apps, who need a simple admin for each client without building one.
- Where to reach them
- Laravel communities: Share a demo and the open-source package in Laravel forums, Discord servers and subreddits, and ask for setup feedback.
- Packagist and GitHub: Publish the companion package with a clear README and a one-command install to bring developers to the hosted console.
- Developer newsletters: Pitch a short build-in-public write-up about admin panels on a phone to Laravel newsletters.
- First milestone
- Ten agencies or developers connect a real app, and five pay for the Team tier within 60 days.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialFilament is a free, well-liked option inside the app. Many teams may not pay for a separate hosted console. The phone-first angle must prove it solves a real gap.
- TechnicalReading many Laravel schemas, relations and casts through a generic API is hard. Edge cases could break forms or edit the wrong data.
- RegulatoryAdmins view personal data through a third-party service. Buyers will ask about access controls, logging and data protection duties.
- TechnicalExposing an admin API from a customer app creates a new attack surface. A flaw in the package or signing would put customer data at risk.
- PlatformOffline and push behaviour of PWAs on iOS is limited, which may weaken the on-the-go promise.
