About this appAI proposal
Shortcut Flow turns agent runs into workflows you can read. Connect your agent traces and it shows which steps repeat the same way each time. Those steps can become tool calls, code or simple rules. Agents stay only where reasoning is needed.
It is for teams that run AI agents on research, analysis and investigation work, and want to cut the cost of repeat tasks. You can see each step, test it, and change one part without rebuilding the whole system.
Unlike a full agent loop, every step in a Shortcut Flow workflow is a separate, named unit. You see what ran, what it cost, and why. Suggested changes are proposals; you approve each one.

- Why this name
- A shortcut is what the product finds: the cheaper path through work an agent already did. Plain words, easy to say.

Trace import
Upload agent traces and see them as a step-by-step timeline with the cost of each step.

Shortcut suggestions
Finds steps that repeat across runs and proposes replacing them with a tool call, code or a rule.

Mixed workflow editor
Build workflows from tool calls, code, screening rules and agent steps in one readable definition.

Agent only when needed
A screening step handles easy cases. Only the unclear ones go to an agent.

PricingAI proposal
The only price in the material is grep.ai's, with 2 paid plans from $200 to $500 a month (verified). Tiers sit near that range as a starting point to test. Run limits are guesses.

From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Reached through sales, content and community posts. Workflows run inside the customer's own systems, so there is no built-in way for their users or clients to see Shortcut Flow.
- Do they become customers?
- Reaches buyers only through direct outreach and content. Test whether posting before-and-after trace breakdowns draws teams who sign up for a trial.
- First customers
- Small teams of 3 to 15 engineers running AI agents for research or investigation tasks in production, who already pay for an agent platform.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and dev forums: Post worked examples that turn one public agent trace into a workflow, with the step breakdown.
- Agent platform communities: Offer free trace audits to teams in user forums and Discords for agent tools.
- Direct outreach: Message engineering leads at teams that publish about running agents in production.
- First milestone
- Five teams each run an audit on their own traces, and three pay for a monthly plan within 60 days.

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalTrace formats differ between agent platforms. Each needs an importer, and spotting repeatable steps from noisy traces may give weak suggestions.
- CommercialAgent platforms such as grep.ai may build this inside their own product, leaving little room for a separate tool.
- AIA replaced step may give different results than the agent did. Teams need trusted replay checks before they switch.
- DataTraces can hold sensitive client or company data. Teams may refuse to upload them without strict retention and redaction.
- CommercialEvidence is a single forum post with 51 points. Willingness to pay for a separate tool is untested.
