About this appAI proposal
Relayroom lets a team connect an AI agent to Slack, Microsoft Teams and Discord once, instead of writing a separate bot for each. You describe the agent and the channels it should serve. Relayroom handles each platform's message format, routing and permissions.
It is built for software teams and organisations that already chat on more than one platform and want agents doing real work there: answering questions, triaging requests, running routine tasks. Several agents can share a channel, and Relayroom decides which one answers.
Relayroom is a managed service with clear logs and per-channel controls. The material notes that an open-source tool for this already exists, so the difference proposed here is hosting, support and an admin view that non-developers can use.

- Why this name
- A relay passes a message along; a room is where teams talk. Together they describe agents passing messages into team chat.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
One config, three platforms
Define an agent once and publish it to Slack, Teams and Discord. Platform differences in threads, mentions and formatting are handled for you.
No member yet
Agent routing
Set rules for which agent answers in which channel, by keyword, mention or channel. Hand a conversation from one agent to another.
No member yet
Bring any agent
Connect agents through a simple webhook or API endpoint, so you are not tied to one model or framework.
No member yet
Per-channel permissions
Choose which channels and people an agent can see and act for. Turn it off in one click.

The material gives no competitor prices. Tiers follow the monetization idea (agents, message volume, workspaces) and are a starting point to test.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Visible inside customers’ products. Agent replies in Slack, Teams and Discord carry a small 'via Relayroom' note that colleagues in the workspace see. Admins can remove it on paid plans.
- Do they become customers?
- Colleagues who see the note are often in the same company and may be admins or developers who can sign up. Test how many visits and trials the note produces per workspace.
- First customers
- Engineering teams of 20 to 200 people that use Slack plus Discord or Teams and already run at least one AI agent or have a custom bot.
- Where to reach them
- GitHub open-source community: Offer a hosted option to people filing issues or asking about setup in the existing open-source repositories.
- Developer communities: Post setup guides and demos in Slack and Discord communities for AI builders.
- Direct outreach: Contact engineering leads at small software companies running agents in more than one chat tool.
- First milestone
- Ten teams connect an agent to two or more platforms, and five pay for the Team plan within 60 days.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialAn open-source tool for this already exists and is gaining stars fast. Teams may self-host it instead of paying for a managed version.
- PlatformSlack, Teams and Discord each control app approval, rate limits and API terms, and can change them or add their own agent features.
- TechnicalDiscord needs a persistent gateway connection and Teams has its own auth, which makes reliable hosting harder than a plain webhook.
- DataCompany chat contains sensitive content; customers will ask where messages are stored, how long, and who can read them.
- AIAgents may reply wrongly or loop with each other in shared channels, so loop limits and an off switch must work from the start.
