ScreensConcept
Desktop app: Materials teams log synthesis attempts, review candidate rankings, and track lab-to-fab checklists in extended lab sessions. Sample screens on a computer, in the proposed brand. Their numbers are sample data.

About this appAI proposal
Cinderlog is a shared workbook for materials teams developing thermal materials for chip packaging. It keeps each candidate, its simulated properties, every synthesis attempt and every lab result in one record, so the path from screen to fab-ready is visible.
Import candidates from your own models or simulation tools. Rank them against a target such as thermal conductivity. Log each synthesis recipe and outcome. An AI assistant reads the history of failed and partial runs and drafts the next recipe to try, with its reasoning shown for an expert to accept or edit.
It does not claim to discover materials. It targets the gap the sources describe: a computed candidate only counts if it can be made and tested, and recipes take many iterations. Cinderlog aims to make each run count.

- Why this name
- Cinder is what is left after heat and firing, and a log is what a lab keeps. Two plain words that point to thermal work and records.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Candidate import and ranking
Bring in CSV or JSON from your own discovery models. Rank by target properties you set, and flag candidates with no plausible synthesis route.

Synthesis run log
Record precursors, temperatures, times, atmosphere and measured results for each attempt, linked to the candidate it tests.

Next-recipe suggestions
An AI assistant reads prior runs and proposes the next recipe with its reasoning. A scientist approves or edits it before it is logged.
No member yet
Iteration counter
See how many runs each candidate has used and whether results are converging on the target, so weak candidates are dropped sooner.

Worth about
$194,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Spread comes through direct sales, technical content and conference talks. Records stay inside private workspaces, so use does not expose the product to outsiders.
- Do they become customers?
- Not tested. Collaborators at partner labs could be invited into a workspace; test whether any then start their own paid team.
- First customers
- Materials R&D leads at small to mid-size chemical or advanced-materials companies working on thermal interface or packaging materials, with 5 to 30 scientists.
- Where to reach them
- LinkedIn outreach: Message materials scientists and R&D managers in thermal management and packaging, offering a free pilot workspace.
- Hacker News and technical blogs: Publish a write-up on tracking synthesis iterations and the lab-to-fab gap, with a demo workspace.
- Materials conferences: Short talks and posters on run logging and iteration counts, followed by pilot invitations.
- First milestone
- Three teams log real synthesis runs for a month, and two agree to pay for the Team tier.

RisksAI inference
- AIThe sources say current AI models are weak at synthesis recipe generation. Suggestions may be poor, so the value must hold up even if they are only a drafting aid.
- DataChip and chemical firms treat recipes as trade secrets. They may refuse a hosted tool without strict isolation, audit and possibly self-hosting.
- CommercialThe opportunity's monetization is licensing materials or selling discovery tools. A bookkeeping layer may be seen as too minor to pay for, or get absorbed by in-house systems.
- CommercialBuyers are large and slow, with long security reviews. A small team may not reach paying customers quickly.
- TechnicalFormats for simulation outputs and lab instruments vary widely. Import may need custom work per customer.
