About this appAI proposal
Tidemark puts a price chart, an AI agent and your research notes in one workspace. Draw a level or a zone on the chart and the agent sees what you drew. Ask why a market moved and the answer is pinned to the chart beside the data it used.
You define alerts by marking conditions on the chart instead of writing code. When one is met, an agent investigates the move and files a short note with sources. You keep it or dismiss it.
Built for individual traders, investors and quant analysts who use AI models in a terminal or chat and want the chart, the conversation and the research in one place. Workspaces stay on your device by default.

- Why this name
- A tidemark is a line left at the level the water reached. Traders draw levels too, and the name suggests marks that stay.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Chart and agent share one view
The agent reads your annotations, timeframe and indicators. No pasting screenshots or numbers into a separate chat.

Draw alerts, don't code them
Mark a level, a zone or a pattern on the chart and turn it into an alert condition. Edit it by dragging.

From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Users share a chart snapshot with their drawn zones and the agent's investigation note as a link. Viewers see the chart and the reasoning with the Tidemark name.
- Do they become customers?
- Viewers are traders too and could try the free local tier. Test whether shared links convert viewers into installs, and installs into paid cloud data.
- First customers
- Individual active traders who already use Claude or Codex in a terminal for market research, starting with swing traders in equities.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and developer forums: Show the open-source local version with a demo of drawing an alert and the agent investigating it.
- Trading subreddits and Discords: Post shared chart links with agent notes from real market moves and invite feedback.
- First milestone
- 500 free installs and 25 paying users for cloud data within 90 days of launch.

RisksAI inference
- DataFree market data may be delayed or limited, and low-latency feeds carry licence costs that could erase the margin on a low-priced paid tier.
- RegulatoryAgent notes about market moves could read as financial advice. Wording and disclaimers need legal review, and the agent must not trade.
- AIAgents can state causes for a move with false confidence. Sources and the candles used must be shown, and the output must be labelled as unverified.
- CommercialIncumbent charting platforms may add agents. Free open-source users may never pay for cloud data.
- TechnicalA PWA with local storage limits background alerts. Alerts that fire with the app closed depend on the cloud tier.
