ScreensConcept
Desktop app: Designers and developers work on detailed brand kits, compare screen options, edit layers and export code during long design sessions. Sample screens on a computer, in the proposed brand. Their numbers are sample data.

About this appAI proposal
Draftloom is a design canvas for web app interfaces. You give it your brand kit and a short brief, and it draws several distinct screen options with a diffusion-based image model, with readable text in them. It does not ask a language model to guess a layout.
Pick a screen and Draftloom turns it into editable layers and components. A code step then produces buildable front-end code from those layers, using your tokens. Designers and developers work from one source instead of passing mockups back and forth.
It is for web designers and developers who find AI design output generic and off-brand, and who lose time when handoff means rebuilding the interface from scratch.

- Why this name
- Plain words: a draft is the first pass, a loom weaves threads into cloth. Short, pronounceable, easy to say aloud. Trademark check still needed.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Brand kit first
Upload colours, type, logo and a few reference screens. Every generation is steered by them, so options look like your product.

Diffusion-drawn screen options
Get several different layouts per brief, not one safe template. Text in the screens is readable.
No member yet
Image to editable layers
A chosen screen is split into frames, text, shapes and reusable components you can move and restyle.
No member yet
Buildable code export
An agent writes front-end code from the layers, using your design tokens and component names.

PricingAI proposal
The material gives no competitor prices. The creator's monetization idea is seat or usage based subscriptions or per-generation credits. These tiers are a starting point to test, not a market claim.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Designers share review links to generated screens and live code previews with clients and developers. Viewers can comment without an account and see a small Draftloom credit on the shared page.
- Do they become customers?
- Reviewers and developers may be paying designers or leads themselves, but a one-time link view brings no customer on its own. Test how many reviewers start a free workspace within 30 days.
- First customers
- Freelance product designers and small agencies of two to ten people who build web app interfaces for startup clients and also hand off code.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and Show HN: Post a demo comparing brand-kit output with a generic LLM design tool on the same brief; invite sign-ups for a waitlist.
- Design communities: Offer free brand-kit trials in design Slack and Discord groups in exchange for recorded feedback sessions.
- Direct outreach: Message freelance designers who publish web app case studies and offer to redraw one screen on their brand.
- First milestone
- Ten design teams each run three real projects, and five of them pay for a monthly plan within 60 days.
Why people already pay for this
- Public claimThe creator had enough market conviction to leave their role at Figma to build this product
- VerifiedHacker News post received 80 points and 13 comments
- Public claimLLM-based design tools produce outputs that lack creativity and brand consistency compared to diffusion models
- Public claimDiffusion models have recently become capable enough to render text, removing a previous limitation

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalTurning a generated image into clean, accurate layers and code is hard. Poor layer splitting or messy code would erase the handoff advantage.
- AIThe claim that diffusion beats LLMs on creativity and brand consistency is a public claim, not verified. Early tests must compare outputs side by side.
- CommercialFigma and other established design tools could add similar generation to products designers already use, and switching canvases is a high bar.
- DataTraining or tuning an image model on UI screens needs licensed or self-made data. Using scraped designs could raise copyright problems.
- CommercialGeneration costs are per-use, so flat plans could lose money if heavy users run many generations.
