ScreensConcept
Desktop app: Video editors work with timelines, review feedback, and make precise adjustments across long sessions; this requires a large screen and keyboard-driven editing. Sample screens on a computer, in the proposed brand. Their numbers are sample data.

About this appAI proposal
Rushline turns raw footage into a first-draft video. Upload your clips, type what you want, such as a 60-second recap with the best customer quotes, and it assembles a timeline you can adjust. You skip the scrubbing and start from a cut.
Made for creators and small video teams who film more than they finish: product walkthroughs, interviews, testimonials, ads, launch videos and changelogs. Reviewers comment on the same timeline through a link, so feedback does not travel through chat threads and re-uploads.
Unlike full desktop editors, there is little to learn. You edit by describing changes, and still get a normal timeline when you want control. Drafts can be exported as an FCP XML file to finish elsewhere.

- Why this name
- Rushes are the raw footage editors start from. Rush plus line suggests a fast path from that footage to a finished sequence.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Prompt to first draft
Describe length, tone and subject. Rushline picks moments from your footage and lays out a draft timeline.

Worth about

Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Every draft is shared as a review link. Reviewers watch and comment without an account, and the free tier's exports and review pages carry a small Rushline mark.
- Do they become customers?
- Reviewers are often colleagues of the editor and make videos themselves, but this is untested. Test how many review-link viewers start a project within 30 days.
- First customers
- In-house video producers and founders at small software companies who publish product walkthroughs, launch videos and changelog videos every month.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and Show HN: Follow up with the commenters in the source thread and offer early access in exchange for feedback.
- Founder and indie maker communities: Post before-and-after drafts made from real raw footage and invite people to send their own.
- Short demo videos: Publish a clip that shows a prompt becoming a cut, with a link to the free tier.
- First milestone
- Ten software teams each export three videos in a month, and five pay for the Creator or Team tier.
Why people already pay for this
- VerifiedDaVinci's pricing page lists 1 paid plan, at $295 one-time, plus a free plan
- VerifiedHacker News post received 132 points and 83 comments
- Public claimContent creators accumulate large quantities of raw footage that remains unused because the editing process is time-consuming and manual.
- Public claimThe editing workflow is currently manual and time-consuming, requiring hours of manual scrubbing, sequencing, syncing, exporting, uploading, and iteration.

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalLarge raw files are slow to upload and heavy to process in a browser, especially on phones. Export may need server-side rendering, which adds cost.
- AIFirst drafts may pick weak moments or cut mid-sentence. If the draft is not better than starting blank, users will leave.
- CommercialPer-minute AI and storage costs may be hard to cover at low prices, and many editors will not leave established desktop tools.
- Intellectual propertyUsers upload footage and music they may not own. Needs clear terms, licensed music options and care with voices and likenesses.
- DataUnreleased product videos and customer interviews are sensitive. Companies will ask where footage is stored and whether it trains models.
