About this appAI proposal
Tidewise is an AI coach for adults with ADHD who know what they want to do but struggle to do it consistently. It links the plan you make on a calm day with the moment you have to act, through short daily check-ins and a longer weekly review.
Each check-in asks what is in the way: energy, clarity, emotional load or environment. Then it suggests one small step that fits how you are today. Over weeks it keeps a record of what worked, so you can see progress and don't have to rely on memory.
It is meant as a lower-cost option between going without support and paying for weekly human coaching. It is not medical care and does not diagnose or treat ADHD.

- Why this name
- Tides rise and fall like attention and energy. The name suggests that low days are expected and that progress still moves forward over time.

PricingAI proposal
The material gives no competitor prices, only that weekly human coaching is too expensive for many. These tiers are a starting point to test against willingness to pay.

From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Tidewise is a personal tool, so use does not expose it to other people. It spreads through content, community posts and word of mouth. The optional clinician export is seen by a few people only.
- Do they become customers?
- Test whether ADHD communities and coaches' clients convert from free to paid. Clinician exports might bring referrals, but that needs testing.
- First customers
- Working adults aged 25 to 45 with a formal or self-identified ADHD profile who have tried planning apps and cannot afford weekly coaching.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and tech forums: Share a build-in-public post with a free link in threads where ADHD tools are already discussed.
- ADHD subreddits and communities: Offer free access in exchange for weekly feedback, and follow community rules on self-promotion.
- ADHD coaches and therapists: Offer the export and a free account as a between-session support tool.
- First milestone
- Two hundred free sign-ups, 40 still checking in after four weeks, and 15 paying for Plus.
Why people already pay for this
- VerifiedHacker News post received 85 points and 93 comments
- Public claimThe company has delivered 80,000 coaching sessions across multiple ADHD support iterations, validating demand for this type of service.
- Public claimContinuous human coaching is financially inaccessible to most people seeking ADHD support; weekly coaching remains too expensive for many.
- AI inferenceMost ADHD support tools inadequately address the real barrier: execution consistency over time, not knowledge of what to do.

RisksAI inference
- RegulatoryMental health adjacent. Claims must avoid diagnosis or treatment, and health data privacy rules may apply by region. Needs clear disclaimers and legal review.
- AIThe coach may give generic or wrong advice, or mishandle a user in distress. Needs guardrails, tested prompts and escalation to human resources.
- CommercialRetention is hard: people with ADHD often drop new tools within weeks. Free-to-paid conversion is unproven.
- PlatformPWA push reminders are less reliable on some phones, especially iOS, and reminders are central to the habit.
- DataLong-term personal reflections are sensitive. A breach or unclear model-provider data handling would damage trust.
