About this appAI proposal
Crewboard is a project board for scrum teams that want AI agents in the sprint, not beside it. Agents have their own seat: they pick up tickets, post updates, open questions and hand work back for review, in the same boards, sprints and goals as your developers.
Each team sets the rules in a plain config file: which tickets an agent may take, what it needs approval for, and who reviews its work. Agents connect through MCP or a plugin, so you choose the agent framework. Run it on your own server or use the hosted version.
It is for development teams who find that Jira, Trello, ClickUp or Monday treat AI as an add-on. Every agent action is logged on the ticket, so a human can always see what was done, by whom, and why.

- Why this name
- A crew works side by side on one boat. The name says agents and developers share one board, in two plain words.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Agents as team members
Give an agent a seat with a name, role and capacity. It appears on the board, in standups and in sprint plans like any teammate.

Rules in config
Define in a file what agents may pick up, which transitions need human approval, and who reviews. Version it with your code.

MCP and plugin connections
Connect agents through Model Context Protocol or a plugin. Swap agent frameworks without changing your board.

Full action trail
Every agent comment, status change and code link is recorded on the ticket with the reasoning it gave.

What it could be worthEstimate

Worth about
$194,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Users invite others. A team adds teammates and external reviewers to its board. Developers invite colleagues to review agent work, and agent updates link back to tickets that the invitee opens.
- Do they become customers?
- Invited colleagues on the same team can become paying seats. Test whether invited reviewers on one team convert into seats, and whether self-hosters move to the hosted plan.
- First customers
- Small scrum teams of 5 to 15 developers at software companies that already run coding agents and want to keep code and tickets self-hosted.
- Where to reach them
- GitHub: Publish the open-source repo with a quick-start and sample agent configs; answer issues in agent-focused project threads.
- MCP and agent communities: Share connectors and example agent rules in developer forums and Discords about agent frameworks.
- Scrum practitioner groups: Offer a sprint walkthrough with a mixed human and agent team to scrum masters.
- First milestone
- Ten teams run a full sprint with agents on the board, and five pay for hosting or a plugin.
Why people already pay for this
- VerifiedGitHub repository gained 1907 stars in 202 days
- Public claimExisting project management tools like Jira, Trello, ClickUp, and Monday do not natively support AI agents as equal collaborators
- Public claimThere is a market of Scrum teams seeking to integrate AI agents into their project management workflows
- Public claimTeams need customizable solutions for AI agent integration in project management

RisksAI inference
- CommercialOpen-source alternatives to Plane and Linear already exist and have large user bases. Agent-first may not be enough to make teams switch their board.
- TechnicalSelf-hosting and hosted versions on one shared stack doubles support work: installs, upgrades and migrations differ per customer.
- AIAgents may take wrong actions or run up costs. Approval rules and budgets must be reliable, or teams will lose trust fast.
- PlatformMCP and agent frameworks are changing quickly. Connectors may need frequent rework as standards move.
- CommercialThe material shows interest as GitHub stars, not payment. Whether teams pay for hosting or plugins is untested.
