About this appAI proposal
Loomtable is a browser-based video workspace built around an infinite canvas. Drop in footage, images and generated clips, connect them to the AI model or agent of your choice, and see every step laid out as a chain you can read and rerun.
It is made for video creators, content producers and visual artists who generate imagery and video with AI but still move files by hand between tools and a traditional editor. Generated assets and a timeline live in one place.
Models are plug-ins, not a lock-in. Bring your own API keys or a cloud GPU account, swap a model in one node, and export your project and assets in open formats whenever you like.

- Why this name
- A loom weaves separate threads into cloth, and a table is where work gets laid out. Loomtable weaves models and footage together.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Infinite canvas for every asset
Arrange footage, stills, prompts and generated clips on one board. See how each result came from the one before.

Models and agents as nodes
Chain image, video and agent nodes with your media. Rerun a branch after changing a prompt or swapping the model.

Timeline built in
Send any canvas result to a timeline for trims, cuts, audio and titles without exporting and re-importing.

Bring your own models
Connect your own API keys or GPU provider. Switch vendors per node, so no single platform holds your workflow.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Creators send review links to clients and collaborators. The viewer shows the board and takes, with a small Loomtable mark and a link to make a copy of the canvas.
- Do they become customers?
- Reviewers are often clients, but some are creators who could try it. Test how many review-link viewers open the copy link and start a free project.
- First customers
- Solo video creators and small social content studios who already use AI image and video tools and edit in a traditional editor.
- Where to reach them
- GitHub and open-source communities: Engage the audience around open AI canvas projects with a template gallery and import tools.
- Creator forums and Discords: Share workflow breakdowns and example boards in AI video communities.
- Short tutorial videos: Publish canvas-to-timeline walkthroughs on YouTube and short-video platforms.
- First milestone
- Twenty creators finish a video on the canvas and five pay for Creator within 60 days of launch.

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalA browser timeline with smooth playback of large video files is hard. A first version may need proxy files and limit length and resolution.
- CommercialEstablished editors and funded AI video platforms may add canvas features. The open, bring-your-own-model angle must be enough for people to switch.
- PlatformModel vendors can change APIs, terms or pricing, which could break nodes or limit commercial use of outputs.
- Intellectual propertyGenerated media may carry unclear copyright or licensing terms depending on the model. Users need clear notes on rights per model.
- DataStoring large user video raises cost and privacy duties. Storage limits must be set so free users do not erase margin.
