About this appAI proposal
Airshift runs the host's chair for small FM and online stations. It pulls news and topics you approve, writes a script in your station's style, voices it with a synthetic host, and places it between your songs on a schedule.
It is built for station operators and small broadcasters who cannot pay for a live host for every hour. You set the show format, sources and tone once. Airshift fills the hours and leaves a log of what aired.
Unlike a raw voice or text API, it handles the whole loop: sourcing, scripting, review, voicing and playout export. You can approve segments before air, or let trusted shows run on their own.

- Why this name
- Airshift names the overnight shift on air that no one wants to staff. Two plain words joined, easy to say, easy to remember.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Show templates
Define a format once: news break, trend roundup, weather hit or track intro. Airshift fills each slot with fresh scripts.

PricingAI proposal
Only the voice provider's price range is verified: ElevenLabs lists plans from $6 to $990 a month, plus a free plan. The material gives no radio-tool prices; these tiers are a starting point to test.

What it could be worthEstimate
What a software business making this much sells for today, from real deals. Pick a monthly revenue.

Worth about
$194,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Airshift reaches customers through direct outreach, content and demos. Listeners hear the station, not Airshift, unless an optional on-air or stream credit is added on free plans.
- Do they become customers?
- Listeners cannot become customers. Test whether an optional credit on the free tier draws other station operators, and whether outreach converts.
- First customers
- Owners of small online radio stations and low-power FM stations with few or no paid hosts who want more spoken hours.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and indie forums: Post a demo station run by Airshift and invite operators to try it.
- Broadcaster communities: Join online groups for small and community stations and offer free setup trials.
- Direct email: Contact online station owners found in public directories with a sample show for their format.
- First milestone
- Five paying online or FM stations on the Online tier within 60 days, each airing at least 10 generated hours a week.

RisksAI inference
- AIScripts may state wrong facts or odd phrasing on air. The review queue and source listing reduce this, but unattended shows carry real risk.
- RegulatoryBroadcasters may face rules on disclosing synthetic voices, music licensing and news content. Requirements vary by country and need checking.
- CommercialVoice and language model costs per audio hour may squeeze margins against low-priced tiers for small stations.
- PlatformDepends on third-party voice and language APIs whose pricing, terms and voice-cloning rules can change.
- Intellectual propertyCustom voices need proof of consent, and scripts drawn from news feeds may raise content reuse questions.
