About this appAI proposal
Chatboard is an infinite canvas with a chat beside it. Describe an image or a short video, and the agent places it on the board. Ask for changes in words, or select an item and say what to adjust.
It is for creators, marketers and small teams who need visual assets fast but have no design training and don't want to pay for several tools. Images and videos live on the same board, so there is no switching between a design app and a video editor.
The product is proposed as open and self-hostable, so teams are not tied to one vendor. A managed version covers people who just want it to work.

- Why this name
- A pinboard is where creators lay out work in progress. Two plain words that say the product: a wide board you talk to.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Chat-driven creation
Type what you want. The agent generates images or short clips and drops them onto the canvas.

Edit by pointing and asking
Select any item and say what to change: colours, crop, text, mood, length. Every change is kept as a version.

The material gives no competitor prices. These tiers are a starting point to test, and self-hosting the open code would stay free.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Users send review links and published boards to clients and teammates. Viewers see a small Chatboard mark on shared boards and exported files unless the owner is on a paid plan.
- Do they become customers?
- Reviewers are often marketers or founders who make assets themselves and could sign up. To test: how many view-link openers start their own board within 14 days.
- First customers
- Solo social media managers and freelance marketers serving small businesses, who make several posts and short clips each week.
- Where to reach them
- GitHub and open-source communities: Build on the interest in open-source canvas tools; launch the code and invite users to the hosted version.
- Creator communities: Post board templates and before/after demos in marketer and freelancer groups and forums.
- First milestone
- Ten freelance marketers paying for Creator for two months, each producing at least 20 assets a month.
Why people already pay for this
- VerifiedGitHub repository gained 300 stars in 220 days
- Public claimMarket demand exists for AI-powered design and video creation tools, as evidenced by the popularity of commercial alternatives like Canva, CapCut, and Lovart.
- AI inferenceThe project has attracted developer interest and community adoption, indicated by 300 stars and 58 forks on GitHub after 220 days.
- Public claimThe solution integrates modern generative AI capabilities (text-to-image and text-to-video) into a collaborative canvas interface.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialCanva, CapCut and Lovart are established. Free open-source users may not convert to paid, so the paid offer must clearly beat self-hosting.
- DataGeneration costs from model providers can exceed subscription revenue for heavy video users. Credit limits and pricing must be tuned early.
- AIOutput quality varies. Chat edits may not reliably change just what the user asked, which frustrates people.
- Intellectual propertyRights to AI-generated media and to training data differ by model provider. Users need clear terms on commercial use.
- TechnicalA realtime canvas that stays smooth on phones with many large media items is hard to build as a PWA.
