About this appAI proposal
Batchwork turns one short brief and your brand rules into a whole set of creative assets: posters, social graphics, ad sizes and brand kit pages. An agent plans the steps, drafts each piece, checks it against your colours, fonts and logo rules, and hands you a folder to review.
It is made for freelance designers, small agencies and in-house marketing teams who repeat the same resizing, restyling and variant work every week. You approve, tweak or reject. Nothing goes out without your say.
The material points to demand for lower-cost, self-hosted alternatives to closed design agents. Batchwork runs as a web app you can host yourself or use managed, and lets you bring your own model keys, so assets and brand files stay under your control.

- Why this name
- A batch is the repeated work designers want done; work is the result. Two plain words joined, easy to say and spell.

Brand rules that stick
Store colours, fonts, logo space and tone once. Every draft is checked against them and flagged if it breaks a rule.

Visible agent steps

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Clients and teammates open review links to approve assets. The page shows a small 'made with Batchwork' line and a link to start a brand kit of their own.
- Do they become customers?
- Reviewers are often agency clients or marketing leads who could buy it. Test whether review-link viewers click through and start a trial, or only approve and leave.
- First customers
- Freelance designers and 2 to 10 person social media agencies who produce multi-size campaign assets for small retail and food brands each week.
- Where to reach them
- GitHub and open-source forums: Publish the self-host version and a demo run, and offer managed hosting to those who would rather skip setup.
- Designer communities: Share before-and-after time-saved examples in freelance design groups and offer free setup for a first brand kit.
- Direct outreach to agencies: Message small agencies with a sample asset set built from their public brand and offer a paid pilot.
- First milestone
- Ten paying Solo or Studio users from small agencies and freelancers within 60 days of launch, with at least three using client review links.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialFree self-hosting may keep users from ever paying. Managed hosting and client review links must be worth paying for to teams that could run it themselves.
- AIGenerated layouts and text may look generic or break brand rules in ways automated checks miss, so users may redo much of the work.
- TechnicalVideo output is much heavier than images. The first version should limit scope to still assets or it will not ship in time.
- Intellectual propertyGenerated images may resemble existing work, and model licence terms differ. Users need clear guidance on commercial use of outputs.
- CommercialVerified evidence is a public GitHub repository with 440 stars. That is interest, not proof that people will pay for a hosted version.
