About this appAI proposal
Hushline sits above your existing error and monitoring tools. It reads incoming alerts, groups duplicates, sets aside likely false positives, and shows on-call engineers a short list of real issues, each with context attached.
For each real issue it proposes a probable cause, links the related events and recent deploys, and drafts a fix for a human to review. Remediation steps run only after someone approves them.
It is built for small and mid-size engineering teams who get more alerts than they can read and do not want to replace their current tools. Every grouping decision is shown with its reason, so you can correct it and trust it.

- Why this name
- Quietly says what it does: it turns alert noise into calm. Two plain syllables, easy to say on a call at 3 a.m.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Duplicate grouping
Alerts from Sentry, Datadog and others that share a cause are merged into one issue with a count and timeline.

False-positive filter
Flapping, known-noisy and already-resolved alerts are set aside, each with a visible reason you can overrule.

Root cause draft
Each issue gets a likely cause, linked events, and recent deploys, so you start with context instead of dashboards.

Approval-gated fixes
Suggested fixes and runbook steps run only after a named person approves them. Every action is logged.

PricingAI proposal
Sentry's pricing page (verified) lists paid plans from $26 to $80 a month plus a free plan. Hushline tiers are a starting point to test against that range; the material gives no Datadog prices.

What it could be worthEstimate
What a software business making this much sells for today, from real deals. Pick a monthly revenue.

Worth about
$194,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Triage summaries are posted into Slack channels and incident threads. Teammates, managers and other teams who read them see the product name and a link to the grouped evidence.
- Do they become customers?
- Teammates and Slack viewers are engineers who may sign up, but many are already on the paying team. Test whether non-paying viewers in the shared threads start their own workspace.
- First customers
- Engineering leads at SaaS companies with 10 to 50 developers, an on-call rotation, and Sentry plus Slack already in use.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and dev forums: Share a write-up on measured alert reduction from a free read-only pilot; reply in alert-fatigue threads.
- Sentry and Datadog user communities: Offer a free noise audit of a week of exported alerts to engineering leads.
- Direct outreach on LinkedIn: Message engineering managers at small SaaS teams that list Sentry and Datadog in job posts.
- First milestone
- Five teams pay for a month after a two-week pilot, and each confirms most incoming alerts were grouped or set aside.

- Public claimTeams managing production software receive massive alert volumes that create fatigue and delay response.
- Public claimProduction bugs directly impact user retention and satisfaction.
- Public claimExisting observability tools solve the underlying need (catching bugs) but create secondary problems through alert overload.

RisksAI inference
- AIWrongly filtering a real alert as noise could hide an outage. Every set-aside item needs a visible reason, an easy review queue and conservative defaults.
- PlatformDepends on Sentry, Datadog and Slack APIs and their rate limits or terms; those vendors could build similar triage themselves.
- CommercialTeams may distrust automated fixes or find the free tiers of their current tools enough. Willingness to pay per alert volume is untested.
- DataAlerts and logs can contain customer data or secrets. Teams will ask for redaction, retention limits and clear data handling before connecting.
- TechnicalRoot cause quality depends on access to code, deploy history and traces, which varies per team and may need heavy per-customer setup.
