About this appAI proposal
Callbench is a self-hosted workbench for building and testing AI phone agents on your own computer. You design the call flow, run simulated calls, read transcripts and fix problems without API keys or a cloud account.
It is for contact center teams, conversational AI developers and enterprises that want custom voice-based call automation without tying themselves to one vendor. You can bring in flows from existing tools such as Dialogflow CX and try them locally.
Local building and testing is free. When you go live, you either run it on your own infrastructure or use ours and pay a few cents per call, shown before you deploy.
- Tagline

- Why this name
- A bench is where you build and test things before they ship. Callbench puts call-agent work on your own desk.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Local-first agent building
Design call flows and prompts on your own machine. No API keys and no cloud account are needed to start.

Simulated call testing
Run scripted and random caller scenarios, then compare results after each change to your flow.

Import existing flows
Bring in agents from Dialogflow CX and check how they behave locally before deciding to move.

Transcript review
Read each call turn by turn, mark failures and turn them into regression tests.

What it could be worthEstimate
What a software business making this much sells for today, from real deals. Pick a monthly revenue.

Worth about
$190,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Teams share a test-call link or a transcript report with colleagues and clients, who can listen to the agent and leave comments on turns. Reviewers see the Callbench name on the shared page.
- Do they become customers?
- Reviewers are mostly colleagues and stakeholders, and some may lead their own projects. Test whether a reviewer who opens a shared report goes on to start a local project or a paid production plan.
- First customers
- Small teams of conversational AI developers at mid-size contact centers who now prototype voice agents in Dialogflow CX and want to test cheaper and faster.
- Where to reach them
- GitHub and open-source communities: Publish a free local build and example flows where interest in local voice agent tools already shows up.
- Developer forums and Discords: Post worked examples of importing a flow and fixing it with simulated calls, and offer help in threads.
- Direct outreach: Contact contact-center AI leads with an offer to port one flow and show its estimated per-call cost.
- First milestone
- Five teams move a real flow into Callbench, and two of them pay for hosted production calls within 90 days.

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalMaking local voice agents sound natural without cloud speech and language services may need heavy hardware, and quality may trail hosted tools.
- CommercialFree local use may never convert. Per-call pricing must beat Dialogflow CX and others, and the material gives no competitor prices.
- RegulatoryHosted production calls involve recording, consent and telephony rules that differ by country and need review.
- PlatformImport from Dialogflow CX relies on its export format, which the vendor can change.
- DataCall transcripts may hold personal data, so retention and access controls are required for production.
