About this appAI proposal
Draftside is a browser extension that adds AI writing help to any text field: email, chat, web forms, documents and comments. Select text or press a shortcut, and it drafts, rewrites, shortens or fixes the passage in place.
It is for writers and knowledge workers who move between many web tools in a day. According to the material, Notion AI works within Notion. Draftside follows you to the other tabs, so you do not copy text into a separate chat window and back.
You stay in control. Every suggestion shows as a visible change you accept, edit or reject, and saved style notes keep your tone steady across tools. A companion web app holds your styles, history and usage.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Draftside is used privately inside other tools, and its output carries no visible mark. Growth comes from store listings, content and word of mouth, plus team invites for shared styles.
- Do they become customers?
- Store searchers can become paying users directly. Test whether free users hit the cap and upgrade, and whether teams invite colleagues for shared styles.
- First customers
- Freelance writers and small-agency content teams of 2 to 10 people who write in many web tools daily.
- Where to reach them
- Writer communities: Offer free trials and share before-and-after edits in freelance writing forums and newsletters.
- Extension store listing: Target searches such as 'AI writing assistant for any website' with a clear demo.
- Direct outreach to agencies: Offer small content agencies a trial with a shared team voice guide.
- First milestone
- Fifty free installs from freelance writers, with ten paying Pro users within 60 days.

RisksAI inference
- PlatformExtension stores review permissions closely. Broad site access may delay approval, and rich editors may block text insertion.
- CommercialFree browser AI tools and built-in assistants are many. Paying users need a clear reason, such as style profiles, to choose Draftside.
- DataUsers type sensitive text. Sending it to a model provider raises privacy concerns, so clear consent and site controls are essential.
- TechnicalEach web editor handles text differently, so in-place edits will need much per-site testing.
- CommercialModel costs per request may squeeze margins on low-priced plans if heavy users are not capped.
