About this appAI proposal
Schemaleaf reads your schema files (Prisma, OpenAPI, GraphQL) and draws architecture diagrams from them: entity relationships, API maps and type graphs. Each diagram exports as a single HTML file with no server behind it.
Commit the file next to your code. A CI step or the web app rebuilds it when the schema changes, so the diagram in the repo matches the schema in the repo. Built for developers and small engineering teams who already write schemas.
The code is the source of truth. You do not drag boxes. You choose what to show and how to group it, and the schema does the rest.

- Why this name
- A schema is a structure of branches and links; a leaf is a single light page. The name suggests one small file grown from the code.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Schema in, diagram out
Paste or upload a Prisma, OpenAPI or GraphQL schema and get a laid-out diagram in seconds.

Single portable HTML file
Each export is one self-contained file. Open it offline, attach it to a pull request, or host it anywhere.

Stays in sync through CI
A command and a token rebuild the file on every schema change, so diffs show how the design changed.

Change highlights
Compare two schema versions and mark added, removed and renamed models, fields and endpoints.

What it could be worthEstimate
What a software business making this much sells for today, from real deals. Pick a monthly revenue.
If it makes
Worth about
$194,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Exported HTML files are committed to repos, attached to pull requests and linked in docs. Each file carries a small Schemaleaf credit with a link, seen by teammates, reviewers and outside API users.
- Do they become customers?
- Viewers are mostly developers, some of whom own tooling choices, so they could become users. Test whether credit-link clicks lead to sign-ups, and whether paid tiers can remove the credit.
- First customers
- Small teams of 3 to 15 developers building Prisma-based TypeScript backends who keep docs in the repo.
- Where to reach them
- GitHub and open-source: Publish a free CLI and an example repo, and open pull requests that add diagrams to public projects.
- Developer communities: Post worked examples in Prisma and GraphQL communities, Hacker News and relevant subreddits.
- Developer content: Write short guides on documentation-as-code and keeping ERDs in sync in CI.
- First milestone
- Ten teams run the CI sync weekly for a month, and five of them pay for Team.

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalReadable automatic layout for large schemas (hundreds of models) is hard, and poor layouts would make the exported file less useful than a hand-drawn diagram.
- CommercialDevelopers may prefer free open-source generators, and may not pay for something a script can do. Willingness to pay for CI and team features is untested.
- TechnicalSchema formats change over time and have many edge cases, such as OpenAPI composition keywords, so parser upkeep is ongoing.
- DataTeams may be unwilling to upload private schemas to a hosted app, which pushes toward local-only or CLI use that is harder to charge for.
