About this appAI proposal
Probewalk sends autonomous browser agents through your web app to check that it works and to probe for common security slips. Describe a flow in plain words, such as sign up, confirm by email, reset a password, and the agent runs it in a real browser.
Each run gets its own inbox and notification endpoints. The agent can open the confirmation email, follow the link, read a one-time code, or check that a webhook arrived, then carry on with the flow.
It is for development teams and QA engineers who test by hand or with one-off scripts today. Runs become repeatable checks with a clear report, so testing is a standard step in each release.

- Why this name
- A probe checks for weak spots and a walk is a user's path through the app. Two plain words joined, easy to say.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Plain-language test flows
Write what a user does. The agent drives a real browser, copes with small layout changes and records each step.

Built-in test inboxes
Every run gets a fresh email address. Agents read messages, click links and extract codes inside the same flow.

Other notification channels
Check webhooks and other message types as steps in a test, not as a separate manual task.
No member yet
Security probe pass
Run a standard set of checks on forms, sessions and access rules, with findings next to functional results.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Run reports are shareable links. A QA engineer sends them to developers and managers, who see the Probewalk name and can open the failing step with screenshots and messages.
- Do they become customers?
- Report viewers are often teammates who could create accounts, but may only read. Test whether viewers sign up or add a check within 30 days.
- First customers
- QA leads and engineering managers at small SaaS companies with 10 to 50 developers, whose key flows depend on email, such as signup, invites and password resets.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News: Post a Show HN with a demo of an email-confirm flow tested end to end, and invite feedback.
- Developer communities: Offer free runs in QA and testing forums and Slack groups to teams with email-heavy flows.
- Direct outreach: Contact QA leads at SaaS companies with a short report of a flow tested on their public signup.
- First milestone
- Five paying teams in SaaS, each running scheduled email-flow checks for at least a month.
Why people already pay for this
- Public claimTeams handle security testing and quality assurance in web applications today using adhoc approaches rather than standardized tools.
- Public claimThere is demand for email checking and other notification methods as part of autonomous testing, with paying customers driving feature prioritization.

RisksAI inference
- AIAgents may make flaky or wrong judgments, causing false failures or missed bugs. Teams will drop the tool if results are not repeatable.
- TechnicalRunning many real browsers plus inbound email is costly and hard to scale. Margins depend on run cost versus usage pricing.
- RegulatorySecurity probing must only target apps the customer owns. Ownership checks and terms are needed to prevent misuse.
- CommercialDemand rests on public claims only. Teams may prefer in-house scripts or existing testing tools with added email steps.
- DataTest runs may capture real personal data in emails and screenshots. Retention and redaction need careful handling.
