About this appAI proposal
Openpane runs the browsers your AI agents use. You ask for a session through an API and get one from a warm pool, with cookies, proxy and login state already in place. You do not manage pools, proxy rotation or session storage yourself.
It is built for small teams shipping agents to production. A phone-friendly dashboard shows every live session, replays failed runs step by step, and lets you take over a stuck session by hand when a CAPTCHA or login check blocks the agent.
The difference is how it handles failure. Each session has a start-time budget and a recorded trail, and a blocked run pauses and asks a person instead of retrying blindly. Pricing is per session, so a team can see its cost before it scales.

- Why this name
- A pane is a browser window, and open means ready and reachable. Two plain words joined, easy to say and spell.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Warm session pool
Request a browser and get one that is already running. Set a start-time budget per project and see how often sessions meet it.
No member yet
Saved session state
Keep cookies, storage and logins between runs and attach them to a named identity, so agents resume where they stopped.

Proxy and region rules
Choose a region and proxy policy per project. Rotation and retries are handled, and each session shows which route it used.

Human handoff from your phone
When an agent hits a CAPTCHA or a check it cannot pass, you get a push alert, take over the live tab, then hand it back.

PricingAI proposal
The material gives no competitor prices, only that usage-based tiers on sessions are likely. These tiers and amounts are a starting point to test, not a market figure.

An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Openpane runs behind customers' agents, so end users do not see it. Growth comes from developer content, docs, example repos and word of mouth between engineers, not from the product's own use.
- Do they become customers?
- Developers who try it are the buyers, but no loop is built in. Test whether a free tier plus example repos turns solo developers into paying teams.
- First customers
- Teams of two to ten engineers shipping an AI agent that must log in to and act on third-party websites, such as research, booking or data-entry agents.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and developer forums: Post a technical write-up on start-time budgets and handoff, with a public benchmark method and a free tier.
- Example repos and docs: Publish agent starter projects that use Openpane, so developers find it when searching for browser tools.
- Direct outreach: Message founders of small agent startups and offer a hands-on setup of their first production workflow.
- First milestone
- Ten teams run an agent in production on Openpane and five pay for the Team tier within 90 days of launch.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialAn open-source competitor already has paying customers and fast growth, according to the material. Openpane must win on failure handling and handoff, not on raw sessions.
- TechnicalKeeping a warm pool cheap while meeting a start-time budget is hard; idle browsers cost money and too few cause slow starts.
- RegulatoryProxy use, CAPTCHA handling and automated access can breach target sites' terms. Acceptable-use rules and abuse controls are needed.
- TechnicalLive view and takeover from a phone must be low-latency and secure; remote control of a browser holding logins is a sensitive surface.
- PlatformProxy and CAPTCHA partners can change terms or prices, which would affect margins on a per-session price.
