About this appAI proposal
Tollgate Keys is a small sign-in layer and dashboard for people who run agent frameworks on Claude. You connect your Claude subscription once. Your agents then use that login instead of a separate Developer Platform API key, so you stop paying twice for the same model.
It is built for developers and small teams on Pro, Max or Team plans who build or run agentic apps. A local helper caches and refreshes the credential on your machine. A web dashboard shows which agents use it and how much of the monthly Agent SDK credit is left.
It does not bring its own agent loop. It only handles sign-in, token refresh and credit tracking, so your framework stays in charge of control flow.

- Why this name
- A tollgate is where you pay once to pass. Keys are what agents carry. Together: pay once, pass through.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
One-time subscription sign-in
Authorize with your Claude account once. The credential is cached locally and refreshed for you, with no API key to paste into configs.

Drop-in provider for frameworks
A small library exposes a standard provider interface, so a framework can add Claude subscription auth without touching its agent loop.

Agent SDK credit meter
See how much of your monthly Agent SDK credit each agent has used, and get warned before it runs out.

Fallback rules
Choose what happens when credit runs out: stop, switch to an API key you set, or queue the task until the next cycle.

PricingAI proposal
The material gives no competitor prices for this kind of tool. Tiers are a starting point to test. Plan credits quoted in the material (Pro $20, Max 5x $100) set the scale; the price should stay small against them.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Partners and integrations. The provider package is added to open-source agent frameworks. Each framework's users see Tollgate Keys in setup docs and config, and can reach the dashboard from there.
- Do they become customers?
- Framework users are the paying audience, so exposure can convert. Test whether they pay for the dashboard and fallback rules when the sign-in library is free.
- First customers
- Solo developers and small teams on Claude Pro or Max who run one open-source agent framework such as Hermes and now pay for both a subscription and an API key.
- Where to reach them
- GitHub issue threads: Reply on the open requests for subscription OAuth with a working adapter and a short setup guide.
- Framework community chats: Offer early access to users of one framework and gather feedback on the credit meter.
- First milestone
- Ten users run one framework on subscription sign-in for a month, and five pay for Pro.

- Public claimAnthropic introduced separate monthly Agent SDK credits on June 15, 2026, designed for third-party apps authenticating via subscription OAuth
- Public claimClaude subscription tiers include monthly Agent SDK credits: Pro $20, Max 5x $100, Max 20x $200, Team Standard/Premium $20/$100, Enterprise usage-based/Premium $20/$200
- Public claimThe Agent SDK credit explicitly covers third-party apps that authenticate with Claude subscription through the Agent SDK

RisksAI inference
- PlatformAnthropic's terms or OAuth rules for third-party apps could change or be narrower than the public claims suggest, which would block the whole product. Confirm the policy first.
- TechnicalThere is no documented path in the material for third-party frameworks to use the credit. The sign-in flow may need undocumented behavior that breaks.
- CommercialFramework maintainers may build this themselves, or Anthropic may ship it. A paid layer on top of a free feature is hard to sell.
- DataHandling subscription tokens makes the product a security target. A leak would end trust, so tokens must never leave the device.
- CommercialThe only verified evidence is one GitHub issue with 57 reactions and 20 comments. Wider demand is unproven.
