About this appAI proposal
Stampwell keeps your iOS certificates, provisioning profiles and App Store releases in one place your whole team can see. It connects to App Store Connect, stores signing assets in an encrypted vault, and hands them to the CI you already use, so builds sign the same way on every machine.
When signing or upload fails, Stampwell reads the log and tells you what broke, which certificate or profile is involved, and the exact fix. The web app and the command line show the same state and the same messages, so you never have to guess which one is right.
It is built for iOS teams who left GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Xcode Cloud because Apple's signing flow cost them time. It does not replace your runners. It removes the signing and release chores around them.

- Why this name
- A stamp marks something as approved, and a well is a dependable source you draw from. Together: one trusted place your team draws signing from.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Shared signing vault
Certificates and profiles live encrypted in one vault. Any runner or teammate gets the right ones on demand. No more exporting .p12 files over chat.

Plain-language failure reports
Paste or stream a build log. Stampwell names the cause, such as an expired profile or missing device, and shows the fix steps.

Expiry and drift watch
Alerts before certificates and profiles expire, and when a profile no longer matches the app's capabilities or registered devices.

Release checklist
A per-release path from build to TestFlight to review submission, with each step marked done, blocked or waiting, and why.

PricingAI proposal
The material gives no competitor prices. It says teams pay for runner minutes and subscriptions. These tiers are a starting point to test, priced per app and seat rather than per minute because Stampwell runs no builds.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Partners and integrations. Teams add the Stampwell step to their GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Mac runner setup. Public workflow snippets and docs, and listings in CI marketplaces, show it to other developers who hit the same signing errors.
- Do they become customers?
- People who see the step in a repo are iOS developers who may hold budget or influence it. To test: whether those who copy a snippet connect an Apple account and move to a paid Team tier.
- First customers
- Small iOS teams of 3 to 15 developers that ship a consumer app and moved from GitHub Actions or GitLab CI to another service because of Apple signing problems.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News threads: Join discussions about Xcode Cloud and signing pain. Offer a free diagnostic for posted error logs, and invite people to try the tool.
- iOS developer communities: Post worked fixes for common signing errors in iOS Slack groups and forums, each linking to the matching Stampwell explanation.
- Direct outreach to switchers: Message teams who wrote publicly about leaving Xcode Cloud or GitHub Actions and offer a guided setup in one afternoon.
- First milestone
- Ten iOS teams connect an Apple account and run builds through the CI step, and five of them pay for the Team tier within 60 days.
Why people already pay for this
- Public claimTeams will pay for paid CI/CD services and runner minutes to avoid dealing with Apple's signing and release process
- Public claimThe iOS code signing and release process is seen as complex, inconvenient, and painful by development teams
- Public claimTeams are switching from GitHub Actions / GitLab CI to dedicated solutions specifically because of Apple signing pain
- Public claimXCode Cloud has poor quality control, inconsistent UI behavior, and unclear error messages

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalHolding teams' private signing keys makes Stampwell a high-value target. A breach would end trust, so the vault design needs an independent security review before launch.
- PlatformStampwell depends on the App Store Connect API. Apple can change limits, endpoints or rules, and some actions may not be available through the API.
- Commercialfastlane is a known workaround in the material. Teams may think it is enough, and the evidence is public claims. Willingness to pay for a signing-only tool is untested.
- TechnicalExplaining failures needs a growing set of log patterns. Unknown errors would get vague answers, which would repeat the pain it aims to fix.
- CommercialSome teams want a single vendor that also runs builds. A tool that only manages signing and releases may feel like one more thing to wire up.
