About this appAI proposal
Streetbell is a communication app for neighborhood groups, school classes, daycare parents and sports clubs. Organizers post announcements, events and quick polls. Every member sees them in the same order, with no algorithm deciding who gets what.
Urgent posts are tracked. The organizer sees who has opened a post and who has not, and the app follows up by push, then email, so a changed pickup time or a cancelled game does not depend on a feed.
It is built for groups of tens to hundreds of people. Members join from a link, use it in the browser or install it as an app, and need no social media account.

- Why this name
- A street bell is a simple, old way to tell everyone nearby something matters. The name is two plain words and points at reliable alerts.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Chronological feed, always
Posts appear in the order they were sent, for every member. Nothing is ranked, hidden or suppressed.
No member yet
Urgent posts with seen tracking
Mark a post urgent and see who has opened it. Members who have not get a follow-up by push, then email.
No member yet
Notification check
Each member gets a one-tap test showing whether alerts reach their device, with steps to fix it if not.

Events with RSVPs and reminders
Create an event, collect yes, no or maybe, and send automatic reminders. Changes notify everyone going.

What it could be worthEstimate
What a software business making this much sells for today, from real deals. Pick a monthly revenue.
If it makes
Worth about
$190,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Users invite others. Organizers share an invite link in chats, on flyers and at school gates. Each member who joins can invite neighbors or start their own group for another club or street.
- Do they become customers?
- Invited members are real potential organizers of their own groups, so they can become paying customers. Test how many members start a second group and how many groups pass the free limit.
- First customers
- Parent volunteers who run class or youth sports team groups of 30 to 150 families in one town, and who already coordinate through Facebook Groups.
- Where to reach them
- Parent-teacher associations: Offer to set up one class group for free, and ask the organizer to run one urgent post through it.
- Local youth sports clubs: Pitch coaches and team managers on game cancellations reaching every family, with a link to try.
- Neighborhood forums: Post in local forums and Hacker News threads about leaving Facebook Groups, with a short demo.
- First milestone
- Ten groups of 30+ members each use urgent posts weekly for a month, and three pay for the Group tier.

RisksAI inference
- PlatformWeb push on iPhones works only after the PWA is installed to the home screen. Many members may not install it, so the reliability promise depends on email fallback and onboarding.
- CommercialGroups already sit in Facebook Groups. Organizers may not move if members will not follow, so the product must make joining by link very easy.
- CommercialEvidence is only a Hacker News thread (23 points, 20 comments) and public claims. Willingness to pay for this is not shown.
- TechnicalDelivery tracking is limited: a push can be sent but not always proven read. Seen status will be approximate and must be described honestly.
- DataGroups with children's activities hold sensitive member data. Privacy settings, consent and data removal must be built in from the start.
