About this appAI proposal
Roomwise is a learning platform for the people who run training inside a company. Build a course from lessons, videos, documents and quizzes, enrol a team, set due dates, and see who has finished. It runs in the browser and installs on a phone as an app.
It is made for corporate use, not for selling courses to the public. Learners are grouped by team and role, assignments have deadlines and reviewers, and in-person sessions sit in the same path as online lessons, so blended programmes stay in one place.
The material describes existing systems as complex, expensive or not suited to corporate needs. Roomwise keeps setup short: one admin can publish a first course in an afternoon, without a server to maintain or a long list of settings.

- Why this name
- A room is where a team learns together; wise points to the skill gained. Two plain words, easy to say and spell.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.

What it could be worthEstimate

Worth about

Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Users invite others. An admin invites learners, reviewers and managers by email. Learners who change jobs may bring the tool to a new employer, and managers can invite colleagues from other teams to build their own courses.
- Do they become customers?
- Invited learners are employees, not buyers, so most exposure will not convert alone. Test whether managers who see it in use start a team plan, and how often invites reach another department.
- First customers
- Training or HR leads at companies of 50 to 300 people in one sector, such as logistics or healthcare clinics, who run onboarding and compliance training by hand.
- Where to reach them
- LinkedIn outreach: Message HR and L&D leads at mid-sized firms in one sector and offer to set up their first course for free.
- HR and L&D communities: Share a template onboarding course in training forums and groups, with a link to try it.
- GitHub and developer forums: Reach technical buyers who already follow open-source LMS projects and want a simpler hosted option.
- First milestone
- Five companies in one sector each run a real course with at least 20 learners, and three move to a paid plan within 60 days.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialMany LMS products exist and buyers may stay with what HR already uses; switching cost and trust are high for a new tool.
- CommercialThe material gives no current workflow or buying trigger, so who pays and why now is untested.
- TechnicalOffline progress, video playback on weak connections and large file uploads are harder in a PWA than they look.
- RegulatoryStoring employee training records may bring data protection duties, and some industries require recognised compliance formats.
- PlatformThe GitHub interest shows developer attention, not paying companies. Open-source rivals offer free self-hosting, which caps what hosted plans can charge.
