ScreensConcept
Desktop app: Developers search and filter session history, reopen old conversations and manage imports across projects; this archive work is best done with keyboard and large screens. Sample screens on a computer, in the proposed brand. Their numbers are sample data.

About this appAI proposal
Threadkeep keeps your AI coding chats in one place, tied to you instead of to a single workspace. Import sessions from each project, then search, filter and reopen them from one list, whichever folder you have open.
It is for developers who move between several repositories or multi-root workspaces. Each session is saved with workspace details such as repo, folder and branch. If a folder is renamed, moved or regrouped, the chat stays linked and findable.
Threadkeep keeps its own copy of every session, so removed workspace files do not delete your history. Pinned chats stay pinned. You do not need to copy session files by hand or close your editor to read an old conversation.

- Why this name
- A thread is one chat; keep says it stays safe. The name is two plain words joined, easy to say and spell.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Global history per profile
Every session lives under your account with workspace metadata, so one list covers all projects.
No member yet
Search across all projects
Full-text search over every chat, with filters for repo, folder, date, branch and pinned status.

Survives workspace changes
Rename, move or regroup folders and sessions stay linked by repo identity, not by folder path.

Separate copy of every session
Deleted auto-saved workspace files cannot silently erase a chat or its pin.

$194,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Threadkeep is a personal tool. Exported chat links could be shared with teammates, but the core use is private, so growth comes from content and developer communities.
- Do they become customers?
- Reached developers are the buyers. Test whether free users hit the 3-workspace or 30-day limit and upgrade, and whether Team seats sell.
- First customers
- Freelance and consultant developers who use AI coding assistants daily across five or more repositories.
- Where to reach them
- GitHub issue threads: Answer people in the open issue about workspace-scoped chats with a free import tool and a waitlist.
- Developer communities: Post a short demo of recovering a lost chat after a folder move on Reddit and Hacker News.
- First milestone
- Fifty waitlist sign-ups from the issue thread and ten paying Pro users within 60 days of launch.
Why people already pay for this
- VerifiedOpen GitHub issue has 35 reactions and 5 comments
- AI inferenceDevelopers working across many repos daily cannot access chat sessions from other workspaces without closing and reopening a different folder, losing current context
- Public claimChat sessions become inaccessible or lost when workspace identity changes due to folder renaming, moving, or changing multi-root combinations
- AI inferenceChat history is silently deleted when auto-saved workspace files are removed, including pinned chats that developers expected to preserve

RisksAI inference
- PlatformEditor session file formats and storage can change without notice, and the assistant vendor may ship built-in cross-workspace history, as the evidence suggests is in its direction.
- DataChats contain proprietary code and secrets. Storing them off-device needs encryption, redaction options and clear trust from security-minded teams.
- TechnicalMatching sessions to repos after folder moves or multi-root changes may be unreliable for repos without a remote.
- CommercialOnly one open issue with 35 reactions backs the demand, and it is unverified whether developers would pay for this separately.
