Desktop and mobile: Agents manage queues and cases at desks while customers book callbacks on phones; both sides must work for promises to be kept. Sample screens on a computer and a phone, in the proposed brand. Their numbers are sample data.

About this appAI proposal
Handoff Desk sits between your support chatbot and your human agents. When the bot cannot solve an issue, it passes the customer to a person or books a callback with time slots the customer can read and agents can staff.
It is built for support teams at large telecom and utility companies that run voice and text bots as the first line. Identity checked once by the bot travels with the case, so agents do not ask again. Callbacks are checked against live agent availability before they are offered.
Unlike a bot's built-in callback step, Handoff Desk treats a failed transfer as an incident. Every promised callback is tracked until it is done, and a stuck bot loop can trigger a direct route to a human.

- Why this name
- It names the moment that matters: the bot hands the customer to a person. Two plain words, easy to say on a call.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Verify once, carry forward
The bot's verification result is attached to the case as a handoff note, so the agent or callback does not ask for the same details again.

Slots checked before offered
Callback windows come from live agent capacity and skills. Customers only see times that can be kept, in plain language.

Loop detection
Rules spot repeated misunderstandings or a request for a person, and route the case to a human at once.

Callback promise tracking
Each callback has an owner and a deadline. Missed ones are reassigned and flagged to a supervisor before the customer chases.

From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Customers who get a callback see a confirmation message, but it is not a sales path. Handoff Desk is bought by the support team and reaches new buyers through direct sales and content.
- Do they become customers?
- Callback recipients are end customers of the enterprise, not buyers. Direct outreach to support leaders would have to be tested for demand.
- First customers
- Heads of customer support or contact-centre operations at mid-to-large regional telecom or utility companies that already run a voice or text chatbot.
- Where to reach them
- LinkedIn outreach: Message support operations leaders with a short audit of their bot's handoff and callback flow.
- Contact-centre communities: Post teardown write-ups of failed escalation flows in support-operations groups and forums.
- First milestone
- Three paid pilots at telecom or utility support teams, each showing fewer repeat verifications and more callbacks kept.
Why people already pay for this
- Public claimThe chatbot callback scheduling system repeatedly failed to accept time slots, hanging up and forcing the customer to restart the entire verification process.
- Public claimCustomers must go through multiple verification steps before escalation, creating friction and the perception of being phished.
- Public claimThe chatbot escalation path is opaque and unreliable; customers cannot understand time slot options or callback requirements.
- AI inferenceDeployment of voice-only chatbot support caused the customer to cancel their account after a decade of loyalty.

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalEach enterprise has different bots and contact-centre tools. Reliable connectors and live agent availability data may take much longer than a first version.
- CommercialLarge telecom and utility buyers have long procurement cycles and may prefer fixing escalation inside their existing bot vendor.
- RegulatoryPassing verification state and call data between systems raises privacy, consent and call-recording obligations that differ by region.
- PlatformBot and contact-centre vendors could add a better callback feature or restrict access to their data.
- DataThe evidence is public claims from one forum, so how widespread the problem is, and who pays to fix it, is unproven.
