About this appAI proposal
Onepage Day is a private journal with one rule: one page per day. When the day ends, the page is sealed and becomes read-only. You can reread it but not fix it. The only thing left to do is write today.
There are no folders, tags or templates. You open the app and today's page is there. You can start without an account, and entries are kept on your device first. If you want them on more devices, you can turn on end-to-end encrypted sync.
It is for people who want a daily writing habit and have drifted into tidying, re-editing or setting up. A streak counter shows how many days in a row you have written.

- Why this name
- Onepage names the single page rule; Day names the daily habit. Two plain words, easy to say.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
One page per day
Each date has a single page. No notebooks, no multiple notes, no choices to make before you start typing.

Sealed past entries
Pages from earlier days are read-only. Reread them any time, but there is nothing to polish or reorganize.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. The journal is private, so use does not expose it to others. It reaches customers through content about daily writing habits, community posts and word of mouth.
- Do they become customers?
- Test whether free local users convert to paid sync after a streak of a few weeks. Test which message brings in people who have quit other journaling apps.
- First customers
- Adults who already try to journal daily and have quit an app, starting with developers and writers active in online communities.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and Show HN: Post the one-page-a-day idea and a free demo; the source thread shows interest in this approach.
- Writing and habit communities: Share a 30-day sealed-page challenge on relevant subreddits and forums.
- First milestone
- 200 people reach a 14-day streak and 20 of them pay for sync within 60 days.

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalEnd-to-end encryption with a passphrase means a lost passphrase makes synced entries unrecoverable. Recovery design and clear warnings are needed.
- CommercialMany people may be happy with free local-only use, so few may pay for sync. Willingness to pay is not shown in the material.
- PlatformBrowser storage on some mobile platforms can be cleared by the system, which could lose unsynced local entries. Export reminders and backup prompts are needed.
- CommercialThe read-only rule may put off some users who want to fix typos. The evidence is public claims from one forum thread, so it needs testing.
