About this appAI proposal
Loopsill turns any screen with a web browser into a sign. Open the player link on an old tablet, a smart TV, a used phone or a mini PC, pair it with a code, and it plays your images and videos in a loop. Updates go out from your phone.
It is made for cafes, shops and small venues that do not want another monthly bill and cannot afford new single-board computers. Content is cached on the device, so the sign keeps playing when the Wi-Fi drops.
You buy a license for each location once. Scheduling and multi-screen management are optional add-ons. The core job of putting a picture or clip on a screen has no recurring fee.

- Why this name
- A sill is where a shop puts what it wants passers-by to see. Loop is what the screen does. Two plain words, easy to say.

Worth about
$194,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Signs show only content the venue chooses, with no Loopsill mark required. Growth comes from search, local business communities and word of mouth among venue owners.
- Do they become customers?
- Passers-by who see a sign are not buyers. Test whether owners find it through searches like 'signage without subscription' and buy the license within a week of trying it.
- First customers
- Independent cafes with one to three locations and an owner who updates menus and specials by hand, in one city or region.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and maker forums: Post a demo running on an old tablet and ask people who built their own signs what they miss.
- Local business groups: Offer free setup to ten nearby cafes and shops in exchange for feedback and a quote.
- Search content: Publish guides on signage without subscriptions and reusing old tablets as menu screens.
- First milestone
- Ten paying one-time licenses from independent cafes in one region within 60 days of launch, with most screens still online after 30 days.

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalBrowsers on old tablets and smart TVs differ in video codecs, autoplay rules and cache limits. Some target devices may stutter or drop the offline cache.
- CommercialOne-time licenses bring no recurring revenue, yet storage and bandwidth cost money every month. Prices and storage limits must cover that.
- PlatformBrowsers may sleep the screen or clear cached data on kiosk devices, so a sign may need a dedicated kiosk setup that owners find fiddly.
- CommercialDemand rests on public claims only. Free or open-source players may already satisfy buyers who can set up their own hardware.
