About this appAI proposal
Quietline is a guided setup and dashboard for DNS filtering at home. It connects to your own free Cloudflare Gateway account, applies maintained blocklists for ads, trackers and malware, and shows what each device on your network tries to reach.
It is for households and moderately technical people who find Pi-hole too much work and do not want another monthly DNS subscription. You keep your filtering account; Quietline handles the steps, the rules and the upkeep.
Unlike self-hosting, there is no server to run or patch. Unlike paid DNS services, the filtering runs in an account you own, and you pay only for the management layer on top.

- Why this name
- A quiet line suggests a network with the noise removed: fewer ads and trackers, simply and without fuss.

From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Quietline is used privately at home and produces nothing shared. Customers arrive through search, guides, community posts and word of mouth from people who set it up for relatives.
- Do they become customers?
- Reach comes from content and communities, not product use. Test whether people who find setup guides will pay for the dashboard and device profiles, and whether they convert from the free tier.
- First customers
- Technical users who already tried Pi-hole or run a home network, and who set up filtering for their family.
- Where to reach them
- Self-hosting communities: Offer a free setup guide and walkthrough in forums for people leaving Pi-hole or paid DNS services.
- Search content: Publish tutorials on blocking ads and malware with a free Cloudflare account, linking to the free tier.
- GitHub script users: Reach people who starred or used the open-source Gateway scripts, offering a hosted guided version.
- First milestone
- Fifty free setups completed and ten paying Home subscribers within 60 days of launch.
Why people already pay for this

RisksAI inference
- PlatformThe product depends on Cloudflare Gateway's free tier, API and rule limits. Cloudflare could change terms, limits or pricing and break the core promise.
- CommercialUsers came for a free alternative to paid services. Many may do the setup once and not pay for a management layer.
- TechnicalFree-tier list size limits may force trimmed blocklists, which could block less than paid services do.
- DataHolding API tokens and showing browsing activity is sensitive. A breach or unclear privacy handling would destroy trust.
- TechnicalHome setups vary widely (routers, mobile networks, encrypted DNS), so support load could be high.
