About this appAI proposal
Berth is a control panel for running Frappe and ERPNext in production. It gives you tested container setups for common patterns: single site, multi-site, staging and production. You deploy to your own servers or a cloud account you connect, without hand-writing Compose files.
It is made for development teams, SaaS operators and in-house IT who run several Frappe instances. Berth handles environment config, app versions, backups, upgrades and rollbacks from one dashboard, and keeps a record of every change.
The difference from plain Docker setups is the layer above them. The community tooling gives you the building blocks; Berth turns them into repeatable operations so a small team can run many sites with less manual work.

- Why this name
- A berth is a safe, assigned place for a vessel to rest. Each Frappe site gets its own steady berth, and the name nods to containers without copying any tool.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Deployment presets
Pick single-site, multi-site or staging-plus-production. Berth generates the container setup and environment config for you.

Connect your own servers
Add any Linux host or cloud account with an agent. Your data stays on infrastructure you control.

One-click upgrades with rollback
Pin Frappe and app versions, run a migration on a copy first, and roll back if a site fails its health check.

Scheduled backups and restore tests
Back up databases and files to your storage, and test restores on a schedule so you know they work.

Worth about
$194,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Berth runs on the customer's own servers and dashboard, so use does not show its name to other people. Growth comes from content, community posts and partner referrals.
- Do they become customers?
- Readers of guides and forum posts are Frappe operators who could pay. Test whether setup-guide content converts to free sign-ups and whether free users move to Team.
- First customers
- Small Frappe and ERPNext implementation consultancies, 2 to 10 people, who host 5 to 30 client sites on their own servers.
- Where to reach them
- Frappe community forum: Publish practical guides on upgrades and backups, and offer free early access to people who ask for help.
- GitHub discussions: Answer deployment questions in the open Docker repositories and link a free setup checklist.
- Direct outreach: Email implementation partners listed publicly and offer a free audit of their current deployment setup.
- First milestone
- Five consultancies each pay for Team for three months after a free pilot on at least five sites.
Why people already pay for this
- VerifiedGitHub repository gained 2589 stars in 3355 days
- Public claimThe repository provides Docker environment setup for developing, deploying, and running Frappe applications in production and development, indicating organizations pay to run these ERP systems and need deployment tooling.
- AI inferenceThe repository has 2,589 stars and 2,739 forks, showing substantial adoption and active community use of this deployment infrastructure.

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalFrappe versions and apps change often. Keeping presets, upgrades and rollbacks reliable across versions and host setups is ongoing work and a failed upgrade damages trust.
- CommercialThe existing community Docker tooling is free, and teams with strong DevOps skills may see no reason to pay. Demand beyond GitHub stars is unproven.
- PlatformBerth depends on the Frappe project's release and packaging choices. Changes upstream could break presets or make part of the product redundant.
- DataAn agent with root-level access to servers that hold ERP data is a security-sensitive product. Customers will ask for audits and clear access limits.
- Intellectual propertyThe name must be checked for trademarks, and use of the Frappe and ERPNext names in marketing may need care under their trademark policies.
