About this appAI proposal
Renewal Watch Ledger keeps every domain you own in one list with its renewal date, the price you were quoted and the price now on offer. When a price changes, you hear about it days before the bill, not after.
It is built for people and small businesses who hold domains on non-standard TLDs, where renewal prices can differ from the first-year price. For each domain you see the cheaper registrars that carry that TLD and the steps to transfer.
Unlike a registrar's renewal email, it is independent of the seller. It records every quote it sees, so you have a dated history to point to when a registrar says the registry set the price.

- Why this name
- A ledger is a dated record you can trust. Watch says it keeps an eye on prices for you.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Users publish or send quote-history reports and a public TLD volatility page. People disputing a renewal share the report with their registrar, and others find the site through it.
- Do they become customers?
- Readers of a shared report or public TLD page are domain owners and could sign up free. Test whether they convert to paid plans rather than only viewing.
- First customers
- Freelancers and small agencies holding 10 to 100 domains, including non-standard TLDs, who pay renewals themselves.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and Reddit: Share the public TLD volatility page where renewal price complaints are discussed.
- Indie founder communities: Offer free audits of a domain list and show price changes found.
- First milestone
- Five paying users with 10 or more domains each after a free audit offer.

RisksAI inference
- DataRegistrar price pages differ and change layout, so collecting accurate renewal prices will need ongoing upkeep and may miss some TLDs.
- PlatformRegistrars may block automated reads of their pages or restrict terms of use, limiting price coverage.
- CommercialMany owners hold few domains and may not pay a subscription. Willingness to pay needs testing.
- RegulatoryAffiliate links on transfers must be disclosed, and promised price locks would need a registrar partner. This version offers alerts only.
