About this appAI proposal
Loomkit is a hosted content builder you embed inside your own product. Your users get a visual editor for emails, landing pages, invoices and documents. You get one structured document format, a renderer, exports and permissions, without building each from scratch.
It is for developer and product teams at CRMs, marketing tools, marketplaces and vertical SaaS who need content creation as a feature but not as their core business. Email client quirks, responsive layouts and template storage are handled once, for every content type.
Content is saved as typed blocks, not HTML blobs. People edit it visually, developers edit it in code, and AI agents can generate it in the same format and stay within your design rules.

- Why this name
- A loom weaves threads into cloth; a kit is something you drop in. Loomkit weaves blocks into any content and ships as an embeddable kit.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
One block model for every content type
Emails, pages, invoices and documents share the same blocks, styles and variables, so you stop running separate editor systems.

Embeddable visual editor
Drop the drag-and-drop editor into your app with a script or component. Match your theme and limit which blocks users may use.

Email-safe rendering and export
Render the same document to email HTML, web page or PDF. Preview by width and mode before anything is sent.

Structured output for AI agents
Agents write and edit validated block JSON against your schema, so results stay editable and never become raw HTML.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Visible inside customers’ products. The editor runs inside customers' products, where their end users see a small 'Built with Loomkit' mark on the free tier. Shared emails and pages can carry the same optional mark.
- Do they become customers?
- End users are rarely the buyer; developers and product managers at other SaaS firms might notice the mark. Test whether the mark and open-source blocks bring qualified developer signups.
- First customers
- Product teams at small marketing and CRM SaaS companies, 5 to 50 staff, who are about to build or rebuild an email template editor.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and developer forums: Share the open-source block model and an email rendering write-up, then invite teams to a hosted trial.
- Direct outreach to product leads: Message founders and engineers of small CRM and marketing tools who list email templates on their roadmap.
- Open-source repository: Publish core blocks and a demo with docs so developers can test embedding in an afternoon.
- First milestone
- Three SaaS teams embed it in a staging app, and two of them pay for production use within 90 days.

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalEmail rendering across clients is a long tail of quirks. A first version must limit itself to a small tested block set or users will send broken emails.
- CommercialTeams already have a homegrown or existing editor; switching cost is high. Demand beyond the Hacker News discussion is unproven.
- TechnicalEmbedding requires theming, security isolation and signed sessions to be solid before any SaaS company trusts it in production.
- AIAI agents may produce schema-valid but poor content, so users need review steps and brand constraints before sending.
- CommercialOpen-source adoption may not convert to paid hosting if self-hosting is easy; the free/paid line must be tested.
