ScreensConcept
Desktop and mobile: Users need it on desktop beside their video call to manage threads and transcripts, and on mobile to capture action items and check attendee status away from the call. Sample screens on a computer and a phone, in the proposed brand. Their numbers are sample data.

About this appAI proposal
Sidetable is a companion app that runs next to your video call, in a small window or on your phone. It adds what call chat lacks: threaded replies that last after the call, a live transcript, attendee tools and follow-up automations. It works with any conferencing service because it does not depend on their add-on programs.
It is for people who run many meetings: team leads, consultants, community hosts and recruiters. Share one link and everyone joins the same threaded room, whichever platform the call uses. Guests need no account.
Extensions that added these features to one platform were overtaken when that platform shipped its own chat. Sidetable stays outside the call, so a change in one platform's roadmap does not break it.

- Why this name
- A side table is where you keep notes and a drink next to the main event. Sidetable sits beside the call and does not replace it.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.

Worth about

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Hosts send the room link at the start and the summary and thread archive afterwards. Guests open them in a browser and see the Sidetable name and a prompt to host their own.
- Do they become customers?
- Guests are often hosts of other meetings, so some may sign up. Test how many guests start their own room within 30 days of joining one.
- First customers
- Freelance consultants and small agency leads who run five or more client calls a week and send follow-up notes by hand.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and Show HN: Post the companion app to the community that asked for these features, and ask for feedback.
- Remote-work communities: Offer free setup to hosts in Slack and Discord groups for consultants and agencies.
- Chrome Web Store listing: Offer a small launcher that opens Sidetable beside a call, as a way to be found.
- First milestone
- Ten paying Solo hosts among consultants, each running at least three calls a week in Sidetable for a month.

RisksAI inference
- PlatformBrowsers may limit capturing audio from another tab or app, especially on phones, so the transcript could need the host's microphone.
- CommercialPlatforms keep adding chat and notes. The extension in the material was overtaken, so Sidetable must stay useful across platforms.
- RegulatoryRecording and transcribing people needs consent. The app must show a clear notice to guests, and rules vary by country.
- AISummaries may miss or invent tasks. Hosts must review them before anything is sent.
- CommercialAsking attendees to open a second link adds friction. Hosts may use it alone, so the free tier must work for one person.
