About this appAI proposal
Tillgate is a feature flag and experimentation console for engineering teams that cannot send data to a third-party cloud. You run it on your own servers, and it controls flags, gradual rollouts, A/B tests and entitlements from one interface.
It is built for DevOps and platform teams at mid-sized and large companies with security, regulatory or architecture rules that rule out hosted SaaS. The aim is a dashboard as easy as a hosted one, without handing over your data or depending on a vendor's uptime.
Setup is meant to be short: one container bundle, one config file, and a console that installs as a web app. Flag evaluation stays inside your network, and audit trails stay in your own database.

- Why this name
- A till is a lockable drawer and a gate controls passage: your releases pass through a gate you own.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Runs fully in your network
Deploy on your own servers or private cloud. Flag rules, user attributes and results never leave your infrastructure.

Flags with targeting rules
Boolean, string and JSON flags with targeting by environment, segment or attribute, plus an instant kill switch.
No member yet
Progressive rollouts
Release to 1%, 10%, then everyone in steps. Pause or roll back when a guardrail metric slips.

Built-in A/B testing
Assign variants consistently, record exposures, and read results in the console without exporting data elsewhere.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Reaches customers through sales, documentation, open example repos and engineering content. The SDKs run inside customer systems but are not visible to their end users.
- Do they become customers?
- Engineers who try the free tier may bring it to their company. Test whether free-tier teams convert to paid Team or Enterprise licenses.
- First customers
- Platform and DevOps leads at regulated mid-market companies (finance, health, public sector) with 50 to 500 engineers who cannot use hosted flag SaaS.
- Where to reach them
- GitHub and developer forums: Publish a self-hosting guide and example repos where teams already look for flag tools.
- Direct outreach: Contact platform leads at regulated companies with a security and data-residency brief.
- DevOps meetups and talks: Give talks on running progressive delivery without cloud dependence.
- First milestone
- Five paying Team-tier customers in one regulated vertical, or three signed pilots with a stated price.

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalSelf-hosted installs vary by customer. Support for many environments, upgrades and databases could swamp a small team.
- CommercialFree open-source flag tools exist. Buyers may prefer them unless operations and experiment features clearly save engineer time.
- TechnicalCorrect experiment statistics and low-latency evaluation are hard. Wrong results would destroy trust fast.
- CommercialEnterprise buyers with security rules have long reviews, which can delay revenue for months.
- PlatformShared stack uses Supabase and Vercel, but customers need an on-premise build, so the product may need a separate deployable data layer.
