About this appAI proposal
Handline is a small web app for Android people who already use a download manager such as ADM, 1DM or IDM+ but browse in a browser that cannot hand files over. Share a link to Handline, or paste it, and it opens your chosen manager with that link ready to download. No copying between apps.
It works in any browser that can share a link, including ones without external download support. You pick a default manager once, and can set different managers for different file types or sites. Links that fail to open are kept in a queue so nothing is lost.
Handline does not download files itself. Your manager keeps doing the multi-threaded, resumable work you chose it for. Handline removes the manual step and keeps a history so you can resend a link later.

- Why this name
- A handline passes a load from one person to the next. Handline passes a link from your browser to your download manager.

Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Share straight to your manager
Handline appears in the Android share sheet once installed. Share a link from any browser and your manager opens with it.

From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Handline is a private utility. Links go from the user's browser to their own manager, and nothing is published or shared with others, so use does not bring new people in.
- Do they become customers?
- Reach comes from search, forums and word of mouth among power users. Test whether people who find Handline through those places install it and upgrade to Pro.
- First customers
- Android power users who download large files weekly, already use ADM, 1DM or IDM+, and browse in a browser without external download support.
- Where to reach them
- Browser issue threads: Answer people asking for external download manager support in browser project issue trackers, with a link to Handline as a workaround.
- Android communities: Post a short demo in Android and download manager subreddits and forums, asking for testers.
- Search content: Publish guides on sending downloads from specific browsers to ADM, 1DM or IDM+.
- First milestone
- Fifty installs from the first community, with ten paying for Pro within 60 days.
Why people already pay for this
- Public claimMany Android users rely on external download managers for their functionality and performance benefits.
- VerifiedOpen GitHub issue has 28 reactions and 26 comments
- AI inferenceExternal download managers provide features that built-in downloaders cannot match, including pause/resume for all file types, multi-threaded segmented downloading, automatic retry, and handling of very large files.
- Public claimBrowsers like Kiwi, Firefox, and Quetta already support external download manager integration, making it a feature users expect.

RisksAI inference
- PlatformA PWA depends on Android browsers supporting share targets and intent links. Support differs by browser and version, and some may block the hand-off or show extra prompts.
- TechnicalEach download manager accepts links differently and may change. Some downloads need cookies or logins that a shared link does not carry, so they may fail.
- CommercialThe need is a step between sharing and downloading. Users may prefer a browser with built-in support, and willingness to pay for a hand-off tool is untested.
- TechnicalThe page link finder may be blocked by sites or miss links built by scripts. It could also be misused to fetch pages, so it needs limits.
- RegulatoryUsers may send links to copyrighted material. Handline needs clear terms and should not host or fetch files itself.
