About this appAI proposal
Stitchplay is a JavaScript player library that plays one track into the next with no audible gap in the browser. It preloads upcoming tracks as raw buffers, schedules them with the Web Audio API, and hands over between HTML5 audio and Web Audio so playback starts fast and stays continuous.
It is for web developers building music and audio streaming sites, especially for concert recordings, DJ mixes and live sets, where a break between tracks ruins the content. You skip writing your own scheduler, state handling and browser workarounds.
A companion web app, installable as a PWA, lets you load your own track lists, measure the join between tracks on real phones and browsers, and share a test link with your team before you ship.

- Why this name
- Stitching is joining two pieces so the seam does not show, which is what the library does with tracks. Play makes it plain and easy to say.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Preload and schedule next tracks
Fetches upcoming tracks as raw buffers and schedules them on the Web Audio clock so the next track begins exactly where the last ends.

HTML5 to Web Audio handoff
Starts on a plain HTML5 element for quick first play, then switches to Web Audio without a click or a skipped moment.

One small state API
Play, pause, seek, skip and queue events in one consistent interface, so you do not manage buffer and context state yourself.

Fallback where Web Audio is limited
On browsers or phones with limited Web Audio support, the player falls back to HTML5 playback and reports that it did.

PricingAI proposal
The material gives no competitor prices. The existing options (HTML5 audio, Web Audio API) are built into browsers. These tiers are a starting point to test, not a market figure.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Developers send share links of a test set to teammates, clients and label contacts. Each link opens a player page that plays the set gaplessly and carries a small Stitchplay credit.
- Do they become customers?
- Recipients are often other developers or product owners at streaming sites, so some may become buyers. Test whether link openers click through and start a free account.
- First customers
- Small teams of 1 to 5 developers building live-music or DJ-mix streaming sites, where continuous playback matters most.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and dev forums: Post a demo of a measured gap test comparing plain HTML5 playback with Stitchplay on the same set.
- Live music archive communities: Reach developers of concert-recording and taper sites with a free test console and offer to test their sets.
- Direct outreach: Email small audio platforms with a share link of their own content playing gaplessly.
- First milestone
- Five paying Pro customers among live-music or DJ-mix streaming sites within 60 days of launch.

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalBrowser and mobile Web Audio behaviour differs across versions, so gapless results may vary on some devices, and the library needs continuous testing on real hardware.
- CommercialOpen-source gapless solutions exist and developers may prefer free code. A paid license must be justified by the test console, support and maintenance.
- TechnicalPreloading full tracks as raw buffers uses memory and bandwidth, which can hurt long concert tracks on low-end phones.
- Intellectual propertyHosting audio for share links can involve copyrighted recordings. Terms, takedown handling and limits on public sharing are needed.
- PlatformBrowser vendors can change autoplay or audio context rules, which could break handoff behaviour with little notice.
