About this appAI proposal
Harbor Pane puts a browser interface on top of terminal-driven coding agents. It connects to the agent running on your machine or a remote server and shows the conversation, changed files and sessions in one window.
It is for developers who want what agent harnesses can do but find a text-only interface hard to work in. Review diffs file by file, write multi-line prompts, and switch sessions without memorising keys.
The agent keeps running in your terminal as before. Harbor Pane talks to it over a local HTTP and WebSocket connection, so you can use both, or open the same session over SSH from another machine.

- Why this name
- A harbor is where work comes in and is checked; a pane is a window. Together: a clear view onto what your agent is doing.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Chat pane with multi-line input
Write long prompts with proper editing, paste code, and watch agent replies stream in with readable formatting.

Inline diff review
See every file the agent changed with additions and removals in line. Accept or reject by file or by hunk.

Session list and switcher
Browse past and running sessions, search them, name them and jump between them in one click.

File viewer
Open any file the agent touched, with syntax colour, and see which lines changed in the current session.

What it could be worthEstimate
What a software business making this much sells for today, from real deals. Pick a monthly revenue.
If it makes
Worth about
$194,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. It reaches developers through the agent tool's community, GitHub issues and content. Use is mostly solo and local, so there is no built-in loop at first.
- Do they become customers?
- Team sharing could later add invites. To test: whether users of terminal agents who ask for a GUI will install it and pay for Pro.
- First customers
- Individual developers who use one terminal-driven agent tool and have asked for a graphical interface, starting with its community.
- Where to reach them
- GitHub issue threads: Answer people asking for a GUI in the agent's issues and share a working demo.
- Developer communities: Post short screen recordings of diff review and session switching in the tool's Discord and forums.
- First milestone
- Ten paying Pro users from one agent tool's community within 60 days of launch.
Why people already pay for this
- VerifiedOpen GitHub issue has 40 reactions and 15 comments
- Public claimoh-my-pi currently has no graphical interface layer, only a TUI.
- Public claimCompeting products (OpenCode, Codex CLI) successfully use a local agent daemon + browser UI pattern as a proven architectural model.
- Public claimA TUI-only interface creates a barrier for less terminal-native developers and limits market reach.

RisksAI inference
- PlatformThe agent tools may change their protocols or add their own official GUI, which would break or replace the bridge.
- TechnicalA browser app reaching a local daemon faces browser security limits, and exposing it over SSH needs safe defaults.
- CommercialCompeting tools already include free GUIs, so developers may not pay for an interface alone.
- TechnicalStreaming output, large diffs and long sessions can make the UI slow or out of sync with the terminal.
