About this appAI proposal
Wallpane turns a spare Android phone or tablet into a dedicated control panel for a Home Assistant home. It shows your rooms, lights, climate and scenes in a clear layout and stays out of the way when nobody is near.
It is made for Home Assistant owners who mount tablets on walls or leave them on a shelf. Setup is a short guided flow: connect to your server, choose a layout, lock the device. Voice requests go to your own Home Assistant voice assistant.
Unlike a browser tab or a general kiosk launcher, Wallpane is designed for the wall: it handles screen wake, dimming, lock-down and reconnects, so the panel keeps working without fiddling.

From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Panels sit in a home, seen by family and guests, but they carry no sharing flow. Customers come from Home Assistant communities, videos and guides about repurposing tablets.
- Do they become customers?
- Visitors who see a panel rarely own Home Assistant. Test whether content and community posts turn enthusiasts into paying users, and whether a small brand mark on the idle screen prompts questions.
- First customers
- Home Assistant hobbyists with a spare Android tablet who already run a wall-mounted dashboard in a browser.
- Where to reach them
- Home Assistant forums: Post a demo thread showing a tablet-to-panel setup and ask for beta testers.
- Reddit smart home groups: Share before and after photos of a wall panel build and offer a free beta.
- YouTube smart home creators: Offer free licenses to creators who make tablet kiosk guides.
- First milestone
- Fifty beta panels running daily and ten people paying for the Home tier within two months.
Why people already pay for this

RisksAI inference
- PlatformTrue kiosk lock, wake and auto-start may not work from a pure PWA; a native wrapper and Play Store review may be needed.
- CommercialHome Assistant users are used to free open-source tools, and may not pay for a panel app.
- TechnicalOld Android devices vary widely in OS version, screen and performance, which makes testing costly.
- PlatformHome Assistant changes to its API or its own companion app could overlap with or break features.
- DataPanels hold long-lived access to a home; token storage and remote access must be handled securely.
