ScreensConcept
Desktop and mobile: Developers browse repos and monitor CI at a desk for development work, but also check build status and issue updates on phones while away from the desk. Sample screens on a computer and a phone, in the proposed brand. Their numbers are sample data.

About this appAI proposal
Twigbase is git hosting cut down to what a personal project uses: repositories, a simple CI runner and an issue list. Pages are plain and light, so opening a repo, a diff or a pipeline feels instant. Everything else is left out on purpose.
It is for solo developers and small teams with private projects who find large platforms slow and crowded, according to public posts in the material. Run it on your own server or let Twigbase host it for you, with the same app and a full data export.
Unlike large suites, Twigbase has no boards, portfolios or security dashboards to switch off. Each screen does one job, installs as a web app, and stays usable on a phone.

- Why this name
- A twig is a small branch, which is the point: git with only the parts you use. Short, easy to say, and easy to spell.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Instant repo browsing
Server-rendered file, commit and diff views with almost no script, so pages open quickly even on slow connections.

Small CI in one file
Define build and test steps in a single YAML file. Runs show live logs, status and duration, with no pipeline editor to learn.

Plain issue list
Title, labels, status and comments. Link issues to commits by number. No boards, epics or weights.

Self-host or managed
Run one container on your own machine, or pick a managed plan. Move between them with a full export.

From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Users invite others. Owners invite collaborators to a private repo by link. Invitees see the product while reviewing code and issues. Public repos and build badges can also show the Twigbase name.
- Do they become customers?
- Invited collaborators are developers who may host their own projects, so some could pay. Test how many invitees create a repo within 30 days.
- First customers
- Solo developers who self-host a git server or pay for a hosted one for private side projects, and who have complained about slow interfaces.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News: Show HN post with a load-time comparison and a one-command self-host setup.
- Self-hosting communities: Share the container image and migration guide in self-hosting forums and subreddits.
- Developer blog: Publish a guide on moving a private project off a large platform in ten minutes.
- First milestone
- Twenty developers migrate a real repository, and five of them pay for managed Solo within 60 days.
Why people already pay for this
- Public claimGitLab's interface is perceived as slow, prompting users to seek alternatives.
- Public claimUsers experience interface bloat with many unused features in enterprise platforms.
- Public claimLightweight alternatives offer the essential features users care about: CI, issue tracking, and version control.
- VerifiedGitLab's pricing page lists 5 paid plans, from $5 to $15 a month, plus a free plan and prices on request for larger customers

RisksAI inference
- CommercialFree, mature self-hosted alternatives exist, and the material shows users switching to one. Twigbase must win on speed and simplicity, or on managed convenience.
- TechnicalRunning user code in CI needs strong isolation. Abuse, crypto-mining and runaway jobs could cost more than the plans earn.
- DataCustomers trust it with source code. A data loss or breach would end trust quickly, so backups and access control must be solid early.
- CommercialThe demand evidence is public claims from forum posts. Willingness to pay for managed hosting is unproven.
- TechnicalGit protocol support, large repositories and migration from other platforms take long to get right for a small team.
