About this appAI proposal
Seedshelf reads the generation data stored in your AI images (prompt, model, seed, sampler, steps) and turns a folder of tens of thousands of files into something you can search and filter. Point it at the folders your tools write to and it builds an index.
It is for people who generate with local tools such as A1111, ComfyUI, InvokeAI and Fooocus, and who also keep Midjourney downloads. Similar variations are grouped into stacks, so one idea is one row instead of two hundred files.
It uses no neural network models, so your GPU memory stays free for generating. Images stay on your machine. This first version is a PWA that reads folders through the browser's file access, with optional paid sync of metadata only.

- Why this name
- Seed is the number that reproduces an image; shelf is where you keep and find things. Two plain words, easy to say.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Metadata-first search
Filter by prompt text, model, seed, sampler, steps, CFG and size. Combine filters and save them as shelves.

Reads many tools' files
Parses A1111, InvokeAI, Fooocus and Midjourney image data, and extracts prompt and settings from ComfyUI workflows.

ComfyUI graph flattening
Turns a node graph into a plain list: checkpoint, LoRAs, prompts, seed, sampler. The raw workflow stays one click away.

Variation stacks
Groups images that share a prompt and seed lineage or differ only in small settings. Open a stack to compare them.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Seedshelf is a personal tool used on one machine. It reaches customers through community posts, demos and content, not through its own use.
- Do they become customers?
- Test whether posts in local-generation communities lead to free installs that convert to Pro once libraries pass the free limit.
- First customers
- Hobbyist and semi-professional creators running ComfyUI or A1111 locally with libraries over 20,000 images.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News: Show a demo searching a 60k-image library and discuss the no-VRAM approach.
- Generation communities: Offer free indexing to forum and Discord users and ask for ComfyUI workflows that break parsing.
- First milestone
- Twenty free users with libraries over 20,000 images and five paying Pro buyers within eight weeks.
Why people already pay for this
- Public claimUsers accumulate large local image libraries (60k+ images) that become difficult to manage with standard tools.
- Public claimThe application solves a real user need by indexing and allowing deep filtering of AI generation metadata across multiple popular local generation platforms.
- Public claimA key differentiator is avoiding heavy ML models that would consume VRAM needed for image generation work itself.
- Public claimOne major challenge in this space is the complexity of parsing metadata from certain generation workflows, specifically ComfyUI's non-standard structure.

RisksAI inference
- PlatformBrowser folder access is uneven across browsers and may limit folder watching; a desktop wrapper may be needed for the opportunity's desktop-app concept.
- TechnicalComfyUI workflows are non-standard graphs; custom nodes may break the flattening, and large indexes must stay fast at 60k+ images.
- CommercialUsers may expect free tools for this; willingness to pay for search and stacks is unproven.
- TechnicalRule-based grouping without ML may miss visually similar images that lack shared metadata.
- DataMetadata is often stripped by some tools or sites, leaving some images unsearchable.
