About this appAI proposal
Fieldhand runs your open-source AI agent framework for you. Connect a repository or pick a framework template, and it sets up the container, the routing and a public endpoint. You skip the VPS setup, the proxy tuning and the billing glue.
It is built for agent workloads. Long-lived streaming responses (SSE) pass through without buffering or early timeouts, which standard reverse proxy defaults can break. Configuration and secrets live in one place, with versions you can roll back.
Every plan includes a token allowance. Beyond it, each LLM request is metered and billed per request, and you see the cost per agent and per run. For developers and small teams who want to ship agents, not operate servers.

- Why this name
- A fieldhand does the daily upkeep so the farmer can do the real work. Fieldhand keeps your agents running so you can build them.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
One-step agent deploys
Pick a framework template or point at a repo. Fieldhand builds the container, assigns a URL and starts the agent.

Streaming that stays open
Routing is tuned for SSE and long responses: no proxy buffering, and idle timeouts that fit agent runs.

Per-request LLM billing
Each model call is metered and priced. See cost by agent, run and day, with no billing code to write yourself.

Included token allowance
Every plan covers a monthly token amount. Usage past it is billed per request at the rate shown up front.

PricingAI proposal
The material gives no competitor prices, only that the founder's platform mixes subscription tiers with per-request LLM billing. These tiers and amounts are a starting point to test.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Partners and integrations. Deploy templates and a 'Deploy on Fieldhand' button in framework repos, docs and community guides. A developer who finds a framework can start an agent from there.
- Do they become customers?
- Visitors from templates are developers who can pay at once. To test: how many deploy-button clicks turn into a paid plan after the trial, and whether framework maintainers accept the listing.
- First customers
- Solo developers and teams of two to five who run an OpenClaw-style agent on a self-managed VPS and have hit streaming or proxy problems.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and dev forums: Post a write-up on why standard proxy settings break SSE agents, with a free fix and a link to the hosted version.
- Framework communities: Offer deploy templates in framework chats and repos, and answer hosting questions with working setups.
- First milestone
- Ten paying customers on one framework within 60 days, with at least half past their included token allowance.
Why people already pay for this
- Public claimThe platform has achieved paying customer adoption
- Public claimThe platform uses a subscription-based monetization model with per-request LLM billing
- Public claimExisting infrastructure solutions (VPS + manual setup) require significant operational complexity
- Public claimStandard reverse proxy configurations break for agent workloads requiring SSE

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalRunning many customers' untrusted agent code safely needs strong container isolation, network limits and noisy-neighbour control. A weak sandbox is a security incident.
- CommercialDevelopers can already self-host on a VPS. The pitch must beat the time and effort they spend today, and prices must leave margin over compute and LLM costs.
- PlatformValue depends on a few open-source frameworks. Fast releases or breaking changes can force constant template upkeep, and a framework could launch its own hosting.
- CommercialPer-request LLM billing carries cost risk. Provider price changes, unpaid overage or abuse could leave Fieldhand paying for usage it cannot collect.
- DataCustomers' prompts, keys and outputs pass through the gateway. Logging and retention need clear limits and may draw privacy and data-processing requirements.
