ScreensConcept
Desktop app: System admins spend long shifts monitoring multiple Proxmox clusters with dense dashboards, capacity grids, and planning cross-cluster migrations. Sample screens on a computer, in the proposed brand. Their numbers are sample data.

About this appAI proposal
Rackview is a web console that puts several Proxmox VE clusters and Proxmox Backup Server instances in one place. See health, capacity, backups and running guests across sites without switching tabs or logins.
It is for system administrators and operations teams who run Proxmox on their own hardware and want the kind of datacenter-wide overview they used to get from vCenter. Connect each cluster with a read-only or scoped API token, then add control features as you trust it.
Unlike the built-in interface, which works one cluster at a time, Rackview is built around the whole estate: cross-cluster search, backup coverage checks, load balance suggestions and planned migrations you review before anything moves.
- Tagline
- One calm view across every Proxmox cluster and backup server.

- Why this name
- A rack is where servers live; a rack-wide overview is what admins lack. 'Rackview' is two plain words and says what you get.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
All clusters in one view
Connect multiple Proxmox VE clusters and see nodes, guests, storage and load in a single inventory with search across all of them.
No member yet
Backup server overview
Track Proxmox Backup Server datastores, job results and guests with no recent backup, across every instance.
No member yet
Balance suggestions
Spot overloaded nodes and get migration proposals that you approve one by one. Nothing moves without your OK.
No member yet
Cross-cluster migration planner
Plan moves of guests between clusters with checks for storage, network and capacity before you start.

What it could be worthEstimate
What a software business making this much sells for today, from real deals. Pick a monthly revenue.
If it makes
Worth about
$194,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Admins use it internally. It reaches new customers through open-source communities, forums, content about multi-cluster Proxmox operations and direct outreach to teams running several clusters.
- Do they become customers?
- Everyone who sees it is already an admin buyer or influencer, but there is no built-in loop. Test whether content and community posts convert trial users into paid per-node subscriptions.
- First customers
- Small IT teams of 2 to 10 admins at managed service providers or mid-size companies running 3 or more Proxmox clusters on-premises.
- Where to reach them
- Proxmox forums and Reddit: Share a free read-only dashboard and write practical posts on multi-cluster operations, inviting users to try it.
- GitHub and self-hosting communities: Publish a connector guide and open issues board to reach admins already following related open-source projects.
- Direct outreach to MSPs: Contact hosting providers and MSPs that list Proxmox services and offer a guided pilot on one cluster.
- First milestone
- Five paying teams, each running at least three clusters, on a paid per-node plan within 90 days of launch.

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalCross-cluster migration and balancing depend on the Proxmox API and on storage and network setups that differ widely. Edge cases could cause failed moves, so the first version should only propose plans.
- CommercialThe evidence shows interest in similar open-source projects, but it does not show willingness to pay. Free or open alternatives may satisfy many admins.
- PlatformProxmox API changes in new releases could break features. The product depends on a third party's interface it does not control.
- DataThe console holds API tokens for production infrastructure. A breach would be severe, so storage, scoping and an optional self-hosted agent need careful design.
- Intellectual propertyThe name and wording must be checked for trademark conflicts, including use of the Proxmox name in marketing.
