Desktop and mobile: Writers use it on phones for quick note capture on the go; sustained writing, editing and review of documents with math and diagrams happens at a computer. Sample screens on a computer and a phone, in the proposed brand. Their numbers are sample data.

About this appAI proposal
Inline Leaf is a Markdown editor for writing and notes. Headings, lists, tables, KaTeX math and Mermaid diagrams render in place as you type, so there is no split preview and no raw syntax to read around. Your notes stay plain .md files.
It is made for writers, developers and knowledge workers who start in a basic notes app and miss real text editing, or who borrow a code editor for prose. It runs in the browser with no account, and installs as an app on Mac and iOS.
Version history is built in. Devices can sync directly with each other over WebRTC, and an optional paid plan adds sync across your devices through iCloud.

- Why this name
- A leaf is a page of paper and a growing thing. Inline Leaf: plain files, rendered in place. Short, easy to say; trademarks to be checked before use.

Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Live rendering in place
Markdown turns into formatted text as you type, in the same view. Move the cursor into a line and its syntax appears for editing.

PricingAI proposal
The material gives no price for this product. Cursor's verified page shows $20 to $40 a month for code work, a different job. The Sync tier is a starting point to test, set well below that.

From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Users publish a note or a rendered page as a read-only link or exported file. Readers see a small 'Written in Inline Leaf' mark and can open the same document in the no-account browser editor.
- Do they become customers?
- Readers can try the editor in one click without an account, but they may never need sync. Test how many link viewers open the editor and how many of those later pay for sync.
- First customers
- Developers and technical writers on Mac who keep notes in Apple Notes or a code editor and want rendered Markdown, working alone or as freelancers.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and Show HN: Post the no-account browser editor with a short demo; the source discussion shows interest in this kind of tool.
- Developer communities: Share in Markdown and note-taking forums and subreddits with rendered math and Mermaid examples.
- Shared note links: Let early users publish pages that link back to the free browser editor.
- First milestone
- Fifty weekly active browser users and ten paying sync subscribers within 60 days of launch.

RisksAI inference
- PlatformiCloud sync from a PWA is limited. Web access to iCloud files may need a native Mac and iOS wrapper, which adds work and App Store review.
- TechnicalRendering in place with tables, math and diagrams while keeping a fast, reliable cursor is hard, and the source says core editor work took significant effort.
- TechnicalWebRTC peer-to-peer sync needs both devices online and can fail behind some networks, so it may need a relay fallback.
- CommercialUsers may stay on free notes apps or editors they already have. Willingness to pay for sync alone is unproven.
- Intellectual propertyThe name must be checked for trademarks before use, as must any reuse of open-source editor components under their licences.
