About this appAI proposal
Chartwell Brief helps clinics request patient records from other providers and read the answer instead of a stack of pages. Staff send a request in a few taps. Incoming records, whether faxed PDFs or files from connected systems, are gathered under one patient and turned into a short summary.
It is made for clinicians and front-desk staff who need outside history before a visit and today wait on fax. Each summary is arranged around the question asked: medications, recent procedures, allergies, or why the patient was referred.
The difference is traceability and tracking. Every statement links to its source page, and every request shows its status, so a missing record is noticed rather than forgotten. Summaries are drafts that a clinician reviews.

- Why this name
- Chartwell joins the clinical chart with a well that draws what is needed. Brief is the short summary clinicians get. Plain, pronounceable words.

PricingAI proposal
The material gives no competitor prices. These tiers are a starting point to test; the source suggests subscription or per-transaction fees, so a per-request price should be tried too.

From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Each request goes to an outside provider's office, with a secure reply link and the sender's name. Staff there see the product when they answer, and summaries can be shared with a referring clinic.
- Do they become customers?
- Responding offices are also record requesters, so some may become customers. Test how many of them sign up after replying. Exposure alone is not acquisition.
- First customers
- Small specialty clinics (2 to 10 clinicians), such as cardiology or orthopedics, whose referral intake staff chase outside records by fax every day.
- Where to reach them
- Direct outreach to practice managers: Contact practice managers and referral coordinators with a free pilot on their next 20 requests.
- Medical group associations: Present at practice management meetings and newsletters for specialty groups.
- First milestone
- Five paying clinics in one specialty, each sending at least 50 requests a month.
Why people already pay for this
- Public claimBillions of pages of medical records still move by fax every year, causing care delays, admin overload, and dangerous gaps in what providers know.
- Public claimCredo Health has paying customers using their medical records platform daily.
- Public claimThe company is solving a fundamental healthcare infrastructure problem around patient data accessibility.

RisksAI inference
- RegulatoryHandling patient records requires HIPAA safeguards and signed agreements with every vendor. Standard shared-stack services may not qualify without a BAA, which could limit choices and add cost.
- AISummaries can omit or misstate a medication or allergy. Page citations and a required clinician review are essential, and the product must not present output as final.
- TechnicalScanned faxes are often skewed or handwritten, so extraction accuracy and patient matching may be poor on real records.
- CommercialAnother provider may be slow to respond, and the evidence shows at least one company already sells in this space. Buyers may also want direct EHR integration, which a small team cannot build quickly.
- DataWithout integrations, the product depends on other providers replying. Value falls if most requests stay unanswered.
