About this appAI proposal
Marrow is a managed memory API for AI agents. Your app sends what users say and do. Marrow decides what is worth keeping, stores it, and returns the right memories when the agent needs them in a later conversation.
It is for developers who would otherwise write and run their own memory layer. You get one save call, one search call, and a dashboard to see and fix what the agent has stored about each user.
It targets two complaints about the existing service in the material: a single US hosting region and a store delay of a few seconds. Marrow proposes a choice of regions and saves that are accepted at once, with processing in the background.

- Why this name
- Marrow is the core inside the bone: what lasts and does the work. It is short, easy to say and fits memory kept at the centre of an agent.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Save and search in two calls
Send raw conversation text with a user ID. Search by meaning when the agent needs context. No schema or vector database to set up.

Automatic memory selection
Marrow extracts lasting facts and preferences, merges duplicates and replaces outdated ones, so agents do not fill up on chatter.

Instant save acknowledgement
Writes are accepted right away and indexed in the background, with a status flag showing when a memory is searchable.

Choose your data region
Pick a region per project so memory sits near your agents and users, and meets your data location needs.

From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Marrow runs behind customers' agents and users do not see it. Reach comes from developer content, docs, SDK examples and listings where agent builders look for tools.
- Do they become customers?
- Users of customers' apps never see Marrow, so there is no built-in loop. Test whether docs and tutorials convert free signups into paying developers.
- First customers
- Solo developers and teams of 2 to 10 shipping a chat or assistant app in Europe or Asia who want memory without building it, and who need non-US hosting.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and developer forums: Post a technical write-up of the save and search design with latency numbers and a free signup link.
- Open-source agent framework communities: Publish example integrations and answer memory questions in their chat and issue trackers.
- Developer tutorials: Write short guides on adding memory to a support or coaching agent, with copy-paste code.
- First milestone
- Five paying developers on Build or Scale within 60 days of launch, with at least two outside the US.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialEvidence of demand is thin: one post with 22 points and 1 comment. Developers may keep building memory themselves or choose the existing service.
- AIAutomatic selection may store wrong or stale facts, or miss important ones. Quality needs measuring against test conversations.
- DataStores personal user information for customers. It needs deletion, region and access controls from the start, and privacy rules may apply.
- TechnicalInstant saves with background indexing add complexity. Search may miss a memory just saved unless status is clear.
- PlatformDepends on third-party model APIs for extraction and embeddings, so cost and outages affect margins and reliability.
