About this appAI proposal
Plainrow is a TypeScript library and a web workbench for the Microsoft Dataverse Web API. The library wraps requests, response parsing and batch formatting. The workbench reads your environment's metadata and generates typed interfaces for your tables and columns.
It is for JavaScript and TypeScript developers who build integrations, extensions and apps on Dataverse and Dynamics 365 CRM, often inside enterprise teams. You build queries and batch requests on screen, check the results, then copy the code into your project.
The difference is that the library and the workbench share one model of your environment. Types, queries and batches stay in step with your schema, so you write less boilerplate and hand-built request text.

- Why this name
- A row is the basic unit of Dataverse data, and plain describes the aim: ordinary, readable code in place of request boilerplate.

Typed table interfaces
Generate TypeScript types from your environment's metadata, including columns, choices and lookups, and regenerate them when the schema changes.

Visual batch builder
Stack creates, updates and deletes into a batch or change set, reorder them, run them and see per-request results.

Query composer
Build filters, selects, expands and ordering with fields picked from a list. Preview the request and the returned rows.

Metadata browser
Search tables, columns, relationships and choice values in one view, and copy a typed snippet for anything you find.

From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Developers share saved queries, batch recipes and generated type files with teammates through links and in code repositories. Exported code can name Plainrow in comments and in the package import.
- Do they become customers?
- Teammates who open a shared link are developers who could sign up. Test whether link viewers create free accounts and whether any move to a paid Team plan.
- First customers
- TypeScript developers at Dynamics 365 partner firms and in-house CRM teams of mid-size companies, who build integrations and extensions on Dataverse every week.
- Where to reach them
- GitHub and npm: Release the client library openly and link the workbench from its README and package page.
- Power Platform communities: Answer Web API questions in community forums and post worked examples of batch requests built with Plainrow.
- Dynamics partner teams: Offer free Team trials to a few partner firms and ask for feedback on shared snippets.
- First milestone
- Ten Dynamics partner developers use it weekly for a month, and three teams pay for a Team plan.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialThe only evidence is one repository with 312 stars over 3638 days. That shows steady but modest interest, and developers may keep expecting a free library.
- PlatformMicrosoft may change the Web API, authentication or tenant consent rules. Enterprise admins may also block third-party apps from reading their environments.
- TechnicalDataverse metadata is large and varies by environment. Custom tables, solution layers and batch edge cases could break type generation.
- DataThe workbench touches customer CRM schema and possibly records. Enterprise buyers will ask where data is stored, so it should be handled in the browser where possible.
- CommercialMicrosoft's own tools may already cover part of this need. Developers may not see a reason to pay for a wrapper and workbench.
