About this appAI proposal
Tether Desk is a phone-first companion for people who run autonomous agents on a desktop. See which agents are running, waiting or stuck, approve or deny permission requests, and send a follow-up instruction without going back to your computer.
It attaches to the same session your desktop is running, so what you do on the phone shows up there and the other way round. There is no second copy of the session and no remote desktop to squint at.
Built for developers and operations engineers who leave agents working while they are away. It focuses on the few actions that block an agent: knowing its state, answering it, and nudging it onward.
- Tagline
- Your agents keep working. You stay in reach.

- Why this name
- A tether keeps you connected to something that moves on its own. Desk points to the desktop session you are linked to.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Live agent status
A glanceable list of every running agent with state, current task and time since last activity, updated in real time.

One-tap permission requests
Approve, deny or approve-for-session when an agent asks. Each request shows the command or action in full before you decide.
No member yet
Follow-up instructions
Send a short message to a running agent, with saved quick replies such as 'continue' or 'stop and summarize'.

Shared sessions with desktop
Phone and desktop view the same session. An answer given on one clears the prompt on the other.

What it could be worthEstimate
What a software business making this much sells for today, from real deals. Pick a monthly revenue.

Worth about
$194,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Users invite others. Team plans let a developer invite colleagues to see and answer approvals for shared agents, so each invited person installs the app and pairs it with their own host.
- Do they become customers?
- Invitees run agents themselves and could become paying users. Test whether invited teammates pair a host of their own within a week, or only answer one request and stop.
- First customers
- Solo developers and small engineering teams of 2 to 10 who run long agent sessions on a desktop with Herdr App and often work away from their computer.
- Where to reach them
- The Herdr App GitHub issue: Reply to the open issue and its 24 reactors with a prototype link and invite them to a closed beta.
- Developer communities: Post a short demo of approving an agent request from a phone in relevant forums and Discords.
- Direct outreach: Message developers who comment on agent-tool repos about remote access, offering free early access.
- First milestone
- Twenty beta users pair a host, and five pay for Pro within 60 days of the first working version.
Why people already pay for this
- VerifiedOpen GitHub issue has 24 reactions and 3 comments
- AI inferenceUsers need to check on running agents, respond to permission requests, and send follow-up instructions from phones when away from computers.
- AI inferenceExisting mobile clients for the TUI do not cover the workflow of managing desktop app sessions on mobile.
- Public claimThere is demand for an officially supported mobile access solution or workaround.

RisksAI inference
- PlatformThe product needs a connector into each agent tool. If Herdr App or others offer no extension point or API, the connector may be fragile or impossible.
- CommercialThe tool maker may ship official mobile access, which would remove the need. The evidence is one issue with 24 reactions, a small signal.
- TechnicalWeb push on iOS PWAs depends on installation to the home screen and can be less reliable than native push, which risks missed permission alerts.
- DataSessions can hold source code and secrets. A relay breach or unclear data handling would end trust with developers quickly.
- RegulatoryApproving commands remotely may raise security-policy concerns for teams, who may require audit logs and access controls before allowing it.
