About this appAI proposal
Ferrylane is one dashboard for the AI services you already pay for. Connect your own keys or plans for chat, coding and reasoning models, then run a task on any of them from one place.
Your conversations, instructions and settings live in Ferrylane, not inside a single provider. Switch a thread from one model to another and carry on with the same context. Spending and usage from every subscription sit side by side, so you can see what each provider costs you and when a change makes sense.
It is built for individuals and developers in the US and Europe who test several providers each month and do not want to rebuild their setup every time they switch.

What it could be worthEstimate
What a software business making this much sells for today, from real deals. Pick a monthly revenue.

Worth about
$190,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Users share a read-only link to a conversation or a cost comparison report. Recipients see the result and a small Ferrylane footer with a link to try it.
- Do they become customers?
- Recipients are often other multi-provider users, so some could sign up. Needs testing: how many shared-link viewers start a free account, and how many later pay.
- First customers
- Solo developers in the US and Europe who pay for two or more AI coding or chat services and test new ones monthly.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News: Post a Show HN about carrying context across providers and join threads where people compare AI plans.
- Developer subreddits: Share the spend tracker as a free tool in AI coding and self-hosting communities.
- Developer newsletters: Offer a short guide to comparing AI plan costs, with a link to the free tier.
- First milestone
- Fifty free signups who connect two or more providers, and ten of them paying for Pro within two months.

RisksAI inference
- PlatformProviders may limit use of consumer subscriptions through third-party tools, so some plans may only work through API keys, which weakens the pitch for flat-plan users.
- TechnicalMoving context between models differs in format, length limits and tool use, so a switch may change results or lose details.
- DataStoring conversations from several providers raises privacy concerns for the privacy-aware users this targets, and key storage must be secure.
- CommercialProviders may add their own multi-model switching, and users may be unwilling to pay for a layer on top of what they already pay for.
- RegulatoryHandling the conversations of European users brings GDPR duties, including export, deletion and a clear data location.
Everything marked AI proposal or AI inference was written by a model from the evidence on the opportunity page. The proposed name must be checked against trademark registers before it is used.
