About this appAI proposal
Steadyline is a monitoring and audit tool for people who run UniFi networks: IT admins at small and mid-sized organizations, MSPs and serious homelabbers. It brings Wi-Fi health, speed tests, modem stats and configuration checks into one installable web app.
Instead of juggling the UniFi dashboard, speed test sites, wireless analyzers and manual reviews of DNS, VLAN and firewall settings, you get one score per site and a short list of things to fix. Speed tests run from inside your network and trace each hop over LAN and WAN.
It is designed to run on your own hardware, so data about your network stays with you. A hosted multi-site view is a proposal to test, not a given.

- Why this name
- A steady line is a healthy signal and a stable connection. The name is two plain words joined, easy to say and spell.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Wi-Fi health score
Each access point and site gets a score from signal, retries and channel load, with the likely cause named so you know where to look first.
No member yet
Channel optimization
Suggests channel and width changes per access point, shows the expected effect, and lets you mark each suggestion applied or ignored.

Central speed tests with L2 trace
Run tests from chosen points in the network and see where throughput drops across LAN and WAN hops.
No member yet
Modem and uplink stats
Collects cable modem, ONT, SFP and 5G modem figures next to interface stats, so line faults show up with the rest.

The material gives no competitor prices. These tiers are a starting point to test, based on the monetization idea of subscriptions, premium history and API tiers, and per-site pricing for MSPs.

What it could be worthEstimate

Worth about
$194,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Admins and MSPs export site health and audit reports as shareable links or PDFs for clients and managers. The report carries the Steadyline name and a short note on how it was produced.
- Do they become customers?
- Report readers are often the decision makers at the client, but most will only see it. Test whether MSPs who send reports win clients who ask for the tool or whether readers just read and close.
- First customers
- Small MSPs and independent IT consultants who manage 5 to 30 UniFi sites for small businesses.
- Where to reach them
- UniFi community forums: Share free single-site audits and answer troubleshooting threads with Steadyline traces.
- GitHub and homelab communities: Offer the free Homelab tier and gather feedback from self-hosters, who often work in IT.
- MSP groups and meetups: Run live audits of volunteers' sites and offer pilot pricing for multi-site dashboards.
- First milestone
- Ten MSPs each running three or more sites, with five paying for the multi-site tier within 90 days.

RisksAI inference
- PlatformUniFi controller APIs are not fully documented and can change with firmware updates, which could break data collection without warning.
- CommercialSelf-hosted open-source tools already exist, as the GitHub evidence suggests. Admins may not pay unless multi-site, history and support clearly add value.
- TechnicalL2 tracing and modem stats vary by hardware model, so coverage for CM, ONT, SFP and 5G devices will be uneven at first.
- DataThe tool reads sensitive network configuration. Credentials handling and the line between self-hosted and cloud data must be clear to earn trust.
- AIChannel and config suggestions may be wrong for a given site; they must be labeled as advice with the evidence shown, never applied automatically.
