About this appAI proposal
Snapshelf lets an event host collect photos from guests with one link or one printed QR code. Guests tap, pick photos, and they land in the album. No app to install, no account, no sign-up form.
It is made for weddings, parties, bachelor and bachelorette weekends, birthdays and company events, where the host is not technical and many guests are not either. The upload screen has one big button and nothing else.
The host gets one shared album per event, downloads everything in one go, and closes the album when the event is over. It leaves features out on purpose, for people who found existing tools too complicated or too costly.

- Why this name
- Snap is what guests do; shelf is where the photos end up, together and easy to find. Two plain words, easy to say and spell.

Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.

PricingAI proposal
The material gives no competitor prices. It only says existing tools are seen as too costly and mentions freemium or per-event fees. These tiers are a starting point to test.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Every event shares a link and QR code with all guests, who see the Snapshelf name on the upload page and printed card. A footer invites them to start their own album.
- Do they become customers?
- Guests are often future hosts of their own weddings or parties, but this is untested. Test how many guests start an event within 6 months and whether the footer link is clicked.
- First customers
- Couples planning weddings of 50 to 150 guests who are not technical and plan to share a QR code at the venue.
- Where to reach them
- Wedding planning communities: Answer questions about collecting guest photos in wedding forums and groups, with a free event link.
- Independent wedding planners: Offer planners a free event to try, so they can recommend it to couples.
- Hacker News: Reply in threads where people ask for a simple photo collection tool and share the product.
- First milestone
- Twenty paid events from couples within one wedding season, and at least 5 guests who start their own event.
Why people already pay for this
- Public claimEvent hosts have difficulty using existing photo collection services because they are too complicated, too feature-rich, or too expensive
- Public claimThere is demand for simple photo collection services for events like weddings, parties, and corporate events

RisksAI inference
- CommercialThe evidence is two public claims from Hacker News. Willingness to pay per event is not shown, and a free tier may be enough for most hosts.
- TechnicalLarge photo uploads on weak venue Wi-Fi and older phone browsers can fail, and iOS PWA and browser limits may break background uploads.
- DataAlbums hold personal photos, possibly of children. Storage costs, abuse content and deletion requests need a clear policy.
- CommercialMany competitors exist. A simple product is easy to copy, so the edge must be real ease of use for guests.
- RegulatoryPrivacy rules on storing guest photos and consent may differ by country and need review before launch.
