About this appAI proposal
Doorlist is a primary ticketing app for independent venues and event organizers. You set up an event, publish a branded sales page, sell tickets, and scan people in at the door from a phone. Buyers get their tickets in the browser and in their wallet, with no account wall.
It is built for the venues and promoters who want an alternative to a single dominant seller. The fee is shown to the buyer before checkout, and the venue keeps the buyer list, so repeat sales go through the venue's own channel.
Doorlist does not promise to replace anyone overnight. It starts with small and mid-size rooms that are free to choose, and proves the model there.

- Why this name
- A door list is the oldest way to let people in. The name says the venue controls who comes through its own door.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Each event page and ticket link is shared by the venue and by buyers with friends. Pages carry a small 'Ticketing by Doorlist' line, and confirmation emails show it too.
- Do they become customers?
- Buyers see the name but are not customers. The conversion to test is whether organizers among attendees, such as band members and promoters, ask to use it for their own shows.
- First customers
- Independent music venues and promoters with 100 to 500 capacity who are not tied to an exclusive primary ticketing contract.
- Where to reach them
- Direct outreach to venues: Email and visit talent buyers and managers at local rooms, offering to run one show free of platform fees.
- Promoter communities: Post in independent promoter and venue-owner groups and forums, offering a switch walkthrough.
- First milestone
- Five venues each sell tickets for at least three shows and pay for the Venue plan within 90 days.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialPublic claims say Ticketmaster holds exclusive deals at most venues. Large venues may be unable to switch, so the product must win rooms that are free to choose.
- CommercialBuyers go where the shows are. With few listings at first, there is no marketplace pull, so each venue must bring its own audience.
- TechnicalSales spikes for popular shows, bots and duplicate tickets need queueing and fraud controls that a small team can get wrong.
- RegulatoryTicket resale, fee display and refund rules differ by region and may need legal review before launch.
- PlatformPayment processors can hold funds for event businesses, which affects venue trust and cash flow.
